But it's true I got notification message for ICS upgrade showing that ICS upgrade is available with firmware size mentioning that after upgrade music, apn etc setting will change...
Now..after re-checking for upgrade, it's showing no upgrade available...so what was the notification message popped up earlier...only Samsung may know!

> In reply to chelzeeeee @ 2012-05-28 23:09 from 9La5 - click to readI shifted back to Optus now which was networker provider before its nice to be back with them again, now im enjoying my GS2 w/ 4.0.3 ICS its super fast the signal and internet connection is so strong compare to Vodafone who has i reckoned got the worst coverage/sig nal/ internet connection here in OZ. I will never ever go back to Vodafone, all my friends who are on voda also keeps complaining about their services and they also considering on switching to Optus or Telstra, we all curse Vodafone. Vodafone you should grow up if you dont wanna loose your customer.

> In reply to Tomy Mik @ 2012-05-29 03:54 from 0uJ8 - click to readI agree, ICS is a buginfested disaster with constant "microlags" even on the latest lpd! I am now back on official ki8 that is a lot more stable faster and totally bugfree and I will never again "downgrade" to ICS on my S2! I guess ICS needs a quad-core to be able to hide all "microlags"..., but not even any quad-core can compensate for the many incompatible apps and games on ICS!

With Optus, both Prepaid and Postpaid is good. :)

It will say "No update available" if you go through the menus on the phone itself and press "check for updates" or whatever there. However if you go to Samsung's website for the sII and download their "Kies" software for your laptop (not the same as Kies Air which came with the phone - a fully functional version) then once that's installed (which also can be a bit of a beyatch, it's not the best software) you simply plug your phone in via USB, it'll perform an online check and see if Ice Cream Sandwich is available - which it is - and will then offer you the chance to upgrade your firmware, which can take about half an hour to an hour. It's well worth it! Worked for me, phone (white I9100P) was really sluggish and disappointing for the first week, then updated and all is groovy. Hope that helps potential Gingerbread leavers. Tom x

> In reply to Babara @ 2012-05-27 21:02 from Kxtf - click to readMy Wave S8500 has 720p fixfocus video recording and yes the night videos are good.
So it is an interesting idea with the GS2 to switch from fullHD autofocus to VGA fixfocus recording at night. But then what is the point of having fullHD capability, if you have to downgrade to VGA, like any dumbphone ?
There is probably other options to get fixfocus in GS2, with scenery mode maybe?
Want try Xperia P, heard the Exmor sensor is good at night.
