> In reply to badap @ 2012-05-27 08:33 from YTZb - click to readIt has to do with stability issues only. For users of Play, I think they are all savvy enough to root their phones and may already be running Cyanogenmod ROMs.
Sony cancelled this update after numerous reports of games crashing. In spite of their best efforts, it seems, unfortunately they haven't been able to resolve all issues.

> In reply to lolfan @ 2012-05-27 16:42 from teu3 - click to readYou can recharge a li-po battery whenever convenient, without the full charge or discharge cycle necessary in order to keep battery at peak performance like nickel-based batteries. (Over time, crystals build up in ni-based batteries and prevent you from charging them completely). One thing that we should concern about is battery voltage. During discharge on load, the load has to be removed as soon as the voltage drops below approx. 3.0 V, or else the battery will subsequently no longer accept a full charge and may experience problems holding voltage under load. (You can check battery voltage by dialing *#*#4636#*#* to see current battery information). So it's not recommended if you wait until the li-po battery is drain completely every time you're going to recharge it.

hmm one cool feature of ics is that it supports being able to shoot pictures and record videos at the same time,
since xperia mini pro is the same in spec as the htc one V(which has ics and is able to shoot pictures and record videos at the same time)
will S.E. implement it on the ics of mini pro?

well it's not that xperia play couldnt handle ICS
as ICS is actually available to a phone similar to xperia x8's specs the "S21 Tapioca" albeit overclocked to 800 mhz...still a far cry to the one used by xperia play and xperia mini/pro's snapdragon generation 2 chipset...
sony just decided that they wouldnt put ics on the play officially...maybe because of poor sales? well only they know...
xperia mini pro has the same exact specs as any of its big brothers...play, ray and arc included
in performance it has a considerable lead in speed compared to play arc and ray due to it's hvga resolution
so if there is a phone that can handle ics in the sony lineup of phones in 2011....it should be xperia mini/pro alongside its higher priced brothers such as ray and arc
