Look at the size of it, it's tiny about the same size as the v70 just right for a small purse or pocket.
I used to use my V70 for exactly that reason, I'd swap my usual phone when going out because it was small and unobtrusive.
Who wants to hit the dance floor with a brick in your pocket.
It also had the best call quality of almost any phone I've ever used.
Being a 2G phone means it doesn't need the same power as a 3G phone so the battery life will be good.

They just took a v70, put some shiny on, updated the wallpapers. This is not innovative, it's renovative. You can now see a clear pattern that the designers att Moto are under ice. When they are not busy copying ericsson phones, they take time to put new skins on old models.
I know deep inside moto can do better than this, it's just heartbreaking to see what they have been up to the past 2 years.

> In reply to yuhas @ 2008-10-28 07:11 from ibYK - click to readBTW, I'm the one who has been paying big bucks to Moto, not the other way around, as I've bought 12 Moto phones this year. (including 1 for my mom, 1 for my father-in-law, and one for my wife)
Wish Moto can hire me...

> In reply to yuhas @ 2008-10-28 07:11 from ibYK - click to readI doubt your mom would appreciate the "super size" screen on the Aura to update her Blog...
Yeah, all my grandpas are reading Blogs elsewhere outside of this planet...
Two of my grandmas are still alive, and I wish both of them can use the internet....because one is mentally ill and the other one is physically disabled.
Of course neither would need an Aura either, but a 3G phone with v-call capability would probably help.

> In reply to 100 Moto @ 2008-10-24 02:09 from Er2M - click to readWow... Moto must have paid BIG BUCK to you, eh...
Well, I previously mentioned WIFI is a must but not necessarily be GPS. Because my rich grandma is using the Internet on the go all the time to UPDATE her BLOG which your grandpa loves to read all his life.
Yeah, Moto does always have the nicest design. Infact, I used to use V3xx. Love it to death. But just like Rolex - high in price but nothing much to shout about... Looking forward for more REALLY WORTH Moto in the future...
PEACE DUDE!

I will just give points to the phone, like a read in other opinions, remember this is a fashion phone:
Design: 10 (innovative and interesting design, high resolution display, great keypad, rare but nice swivel mechanism, just 10 points!)
Features: 7 (good features for a fsahion phone, it lacks many things but is reasonable.... fashion phone look for design to catch their buyers not the features... maybe the camera needs autofocus at least and a flash...)
Performance: 5 (i think the 810 mah battery isn't good for this phone.. but only the people who buy this phone will know)

i did yoused the v70 and also the v80 the preseccors of the aura and i think this is the best design evver that motorola did made but the reason the v80 did not bing that popular is that it had no card slot and had a litle space this one has 2gb that is a lot more then 8mbytes
this phone rocks

This phone is a winner from Motorola. It should be popular among those who can afford it, especially in the United States. I think Motorola did it on purpose that it doesn't have much features. Luxury phones, which was invented by Nokia with their 88XX series and Vertu, are not supposed to have many hifallutin specs as their users wouldn't really care less. I like this phone a lot by merely looking at it. An achievement from Moto. I mean, sometimes, you'd want to use a handset that is not so ubiquitous one can regard it as a public phone.
