finally ditched the old v3 and got this ... love it for the most part... why they removed the speakerphone use with flip closed is beyond me... and love the external screen w/ function buttons but why not allow them to be re-mapped by user... they all really go same place... MY MEDIA... anyhow slender, great call quality, solid feel...

I love this phone, it is sleek, I love the picture quality, the fact that I can view my pictures from the front screen and that I can read my emails from the front screen. The battery will last for days if you follow the battery saving instructions in the manual. I will never buy a Nokia, the keys are to small to text properly. At first I didn't like the colour (charcoal) but I love it now, smooth, glass feel and having the picture on the front wonderful.

Don't understand why some people kept on saying that the N93 is a good looking phone cos Nokia never produce good lookking phones other than the 8 series!

Motorola V3 was one of the best looking phne ever produced. The selling price was almost US$800 when it was first available.

V3 is a fashion phone & N93 is a feature phone, so don't know why some people have to compare them?!

Anyway, V3 definately outsold the ugly N93 by 10 folds.

V9 is a fashion phone - very practical & reliable, never hang once sincee I had it for about half a year!
Both of my Nokia 8800 Arte hang very often!!!

V9x is no better than all V-line up in terms of battery life
I hate it but love the style
it's sexy and slim.....just like my boyfriend's hip heeeee
so, there's no such a thing as PERFECT PHONE
I got this one because I love the 8GB external memory
and tho it's only 2 MP, it is of real good good outcomes
so guys....enjoy

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2008-11-22 04:04 from ImajNot really try to defend, though if you can find another phone with "both" a 2.2" and a 2.0" mons working at the same time with (noticiable) better battery life than V9X, then your point stands.

Otherwise, before you purchase your V9x, did you expect a shorter battery life due to the dual supersize mons?

Since you've a V9x, I bet you live in US. If so, I'd suggest you put a car charger and a USB cable in your office, so you can have power on this phone all the time.

PS. I'm using V9 (as V9x is not available in my country)

The v9x has the WORST battery life EVER - a phone is no good if you can't ever make a call. This thing barely gives you 1 hour of talk time, standy is less than 48 hours, I'm getting complaints from family & friends about crappy reception & dropped calls, and you have to keep the phone open to use the speakerphone, which is a pain. None of this was an issue w/ my trusty v551. Steer clear of this thing - huge disappointment!

> In reply to D1dickie @ 2008-11-11 12:02 from kRggSeems like V9x is like Z9...only for Americans.

I work for...but I don't get this great deal! I've to pay US$250 for my V9 (no x...) where I live.

For all you MOTO FANS.... If you a new V9x.. Go to Wal-Mart online phone store they are giving this phone ayay with a 2 year contract. Or do what I did add a line and you get one for just 99.99. How about that !!!!! Signed: D1dickie

> In reply to High Voltage @ 2008-11-07 12:36 from SePKI don't have V9x (and won't get one til it drops being US$250), though from my experience with E8, U9, A1600 and Zn5, all of which the manufacturer officially says the phones support 4GB external memory, I've put 8GB cards in all of these phones and they all work fine, with all (music, photos, etc..) files being read normally.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2008-11-07 05:30 from TS$wThat's because Moto designed its Bluetooth to be visible for only 3 minutes to other devices...a proactive way to prevent any virus being sent from other handsets without the knowledge of the user.

A SplashGear forum says 8GB microSDHC doesn't ready fully, only 4GB. Can anyone prove 8GB works?
