hi to nuwan,

i have read a lot of comments coming from you... i can say that you really are experienced in using xpress music phones and very helpful. =)

im planning to buy a phone in a week or so. i am choosing between 5800 and 5530. i have no problem with the pricing and features, but i am leaning towards 5800 coz of its dual led flash and higher price value. hehe til' i have read the opinions.

need your help in deciding in which one to buy in terms of phone quality. as i have read the opinions on 5800 many have complained about the often hanging or freezing of the phone. (i hate it so much when the phone hangs it is really annoying especially when you are in a hurry, i know im not alone with this =) )

is it true that even with simple usage it still hangs? what the reason behind why it hangs? is it factory defect or does it really just comes with the phone?

does this also happen to 5530?

hope you can take time to express your opinions, pls dont hesitate to correct me.
hope this will also enlighten other people with the same thought
others experienced user can also feel free to post their opinions.

thanks in andvance
GOD BLESS!

> In reply to Anisha @ 2010-03-16 08:31 from vGYD - click to readDear Anisha,

I'm not a Nokia representative though I am pretty sure that warranty will not void because of a 3rd party software installation...

Because 'Hacking' itself is a kind of 3rd party software installation and you can undo it anytime you want... So nobody will never know whether your phone have been hacked before or not, once you undo the operation...

So, obviously there should not be any warranty void issue due to 'hacking' thing...

Asking Nokia care center would be better, but I doubt whether they know much about this hacking and all that...
So, once you ask about the warranty and hacking from them, if they say like this...
"What....! Hacking... Ooh my god... That word sounds terrible.. No.. ma'am I don't think we can offer the warranty for you if you're going to hack your phone...!"
I don't wonder...!

If I were you, I will certainly hack my mobile, and will not bother to tell them because it's none of their business (Just like contents in your inbox is none of their business...)

Are you using default web browser...? Or any other 3rd party application like Nimbuzz to connect to yahoo or msn messenger...?

Actually I haven't tried that before... but using the applications 'Fring' or 'Nimbuzz' which are very popular and well compatible with Nokia 5530 Xpress Music, you will be able to overcome this problem...

These applications are free and further more you can log in to multiple messenger sites simultaneously...
(Facebook, Yahoo, Skype, Google talk etc...)

I think it'll be great if you could try them out...
Search for 'Fring for mobiles' in google and select Nokia 5530 as your mobile and then application can be downloaded either to your mobile directly or to your computer... Very very simple...

Are you using the default youtube book mark in the menu - web or have you downloaded the google youtube mobile application...?

I think you're still using the bookmark thing... That's useless... You must download the youtube application for Nokia 5530 and you can watch great quality youtube clips without any problem....

Try it out today itself... (You'll definitely regret why you didn't do it earlier...!) Search for 'youtube.sis for Nokia 5530' in google...

You're right... Until you said the importance of that small three letters, I didn't even bother to look at it...

You're just great brother...

Thank you for backing me up... It's always a strength to know that I'm not alone in this...

i really like it
the best part is kinetic scrolling
but the things i really dont like is the back cover which is made of very cheap quality
n also if u want to change the sim frequently it becomes an annoying task to do

...N5530xm is so far the best phone I have. The resistive touch screen is near to capacitive in terms of sensitivity.

Just one thing i hate about it is its battery life. It sucks!!! Nevertheless, still I'm satisfied with its performance.

So excited.... :D.
5530 Xpresses 'Rock!'
I can actually buy it now, but i just don't... I'm waiting for Dec to make this a special Christmas present for my self.

Dear all my friends in GSMarena,

Somebody else is posting comments using my name... I don't care this, unless those comments are truthful and will not be harmful or annoying to anybody who put trust on me...

The friends who know me for a long time, they can definitely identify this guy though he/she uses my name as 'Nuwan', because from his/her writing style it's quite evident it's not me...

His/her writings are not in good English, and they are very short.. Further more He/she often uses the sentence 'God Bless You' which I've never used in my life...!

All of you, please be aware of this guy...

> In reply to Jett @ 2010-03-15 03:39 from PUpF - click to readDear Jett,

Yeah.. Hopefully I think so... Though it's really depending on what do you mean by 'Continuse texting...'

If it's 250 SMS per day... That's still be OK for 1 and half days I suppose... But if it's even more than that... Well, I doubt... (Actually problem is not the texting... the problem is, how many hours your display is on... When texting the display is always on and that's gonna cost lot of battery...)

Nokia 6300 has an ordinary 860 mAh battery... So if you could survive 24 to 36 hours by that.. Then with 5530's 1000 mAh battery, you will be able to go on to a similar time period... (However with lots of load and large display, you should understand 5530 will consume more power than 6300...!)

If you know the password of the Wifi connection then No problem... You can use it without any problem using 5530...

However, any mobile battery will not last long with heavy wifi usage.. That reasonable fact you have to understand...

> In reply to Vin @ 2010-03-14 05:39 from tVqd - click to readDear Vin,

According to GSMarena music quality test results yeah.. 5230 wins over both 5530 and 5800...

However I checked by myself... And I didn't notice such a quality difference... Instead I felt the bass reproduction is better in 5530 than in 5230...

Personally I really doubt these GSMarena Music Quality test results...

If you want to confirm I think you better hold the both phone on your hand and check yourself using the same headset and same song with same volume level... I did and I preferred 5530 over 5230... (Please understand that, this is subjective after all...)

> In reply to NANDA KISHORE @ 2010-03-14 04:59 from K6u2 - click to readDear Nanda Kishore,

Actually we can use 5800 battery in 5530... But the battery bay in 5530 is not exactly matching with 5800 battery... Someone has tried this (I don't remember who...) and has posted a comment in this forums telling that it works except for the incompatibility in size..

5800 battery is not that long as 5530 battery but is thicker than 5530... Now you see... If you put 5800 battery in 5530, the mobile will definitely work... but you'll have to keep your back cover open...!!! For an extra 320 mAh which is really a small extra, I think that's ridiculous...!
