I have had mine since it first came out. Just brillient. However, recently, it has decided to 'go silent'. It rings OK, sms alert tone ok. BUT, if i make/receive a call i cannot hear the caller, and they cannot here me. Can anyone help?

i had this phone when it first came out,since then ive had about 20(i lost 10 in a year)and the reception was better than on most of my phones since-including toccos genio slides sony music phones and many top of the range mobiles-great phone,all that was missing was a colour display (i think) and camera was good also

I know it doens't have the bigger camera but its easy to use I can see the numbers and can't wait for it to arrive.

Best phone I've ever had. Still have it after 5 years! Working perfectly. I am looking for a newer replacement though. Preferably clamshell with great keypad. Any suggestions?

I've had a lot of old cellphones (Siemens C35, A50, C45), and one old Samsung X-100, but for allready some time I use this cellphone and I must say that it is great! If I compare it to any of this old cellphones i see that this one is the best I have ever had.

I had used this mobile for some time, and I think it is the best phone I have used in its category. It is simple, stylish, rock solid and not expansive. If you want to have a phone for calling and messages, this is the best option. Keypad is fantastic to write SMS. In its category I rate this phone 9 stars.

I've had this phone since Feb 05, nearly 5 years!

This is a really solid phone and was a rare find for $300 outright at the time.

Great solid phone, I've dropped it many times with no problems. Kinda get sick of deleting SMS all the time because the memory is full. Other than that, this is a damn good phone. Sure it doesn't have good internet, camera, music, storage etc but that's what other devices are for. It does calls and SMS well and that's all I wanted.

The battery life is AMAZING, I charge it maybe once or twice a week, my wife's iPhone is on charge every night.

Looking for an upgrade soon, want to get a decent camera phone w/ 3g internet.

OMG what do you people do to your phones ? I've been using this phone since I first purchased it in 2004 and , the key pad is still intact , the housing is scratch free , both displays function properly , the reception is outstanding , the speaker will break your ear drum , and the battery life is awesome. First off I've seen a lot of people say the phone scratches easially , Ok well if you toss it in the glove box to get scrambled around everytime you take a sharp turn , it will scratch. If you throw it in your purse next to a big cluster of keys it will scratch LOL. If you carry it in your jeans pocket and bump into the door jam the outer display will crack ( pressure crack ) if you expose it to moisture ( standing in the pouring rain having a conversation ) you could damage the speakers. The bottom line is TAKE CARE OF YOUR PHONE ! It will treat you as good as you treat it.

i have this phone for almost 4 YEARS.

it works just like in the first day

there were some problems with the screen-saver jamming when u close and open the lid fast,

but if u deactivate the "open lid to answer call" function, it will never jamm again.

the other anoying thing was the scratching of the display from the keys.

that are the only problems

i`m gonna hold this phone untill it drops dead :-)

P.S. the battery still has a 5 day uptime in idle, and 4 hrs in conversation
