Thx, steve!
When was the last time nokia released a faultless phone... Hmm, I suspect it's gonna be two more weeks before it becomes available here.
Announced January => in shops July. Good job nokia, (not)
Still, I must have this

For distance shots you need a whacking great big lens!

i had the 6300 before and bought this phone a few days ago.
yes its a good phone but i'm let down by the camera. try taking a picture of something in the distance with the flash on. the resulting image always has a light streak going through it.

I've had my 6700c since 19th June and do you know what? I can't find a single fault with it!
At first I found the dedicated camera button a little stiff, but that's because it was brand new, but it works perfectly.
The screen, keypad, design - all faultless. Even the GPS works a treat.

Thanks. Sometimes they will leave a piece of plastic that looks like the rest of the metal body, to help with reception (I guess). But there's nothing like the cold feel of metal. I just hope that won't affect reception and GPS performance too much.

It would be a perfect set if it had WIFI. Nokia leaves one or two features intentionally so that the people keep on waiting for the new set to upgrade.

where's the wifi nokia?
isn't it more logical to 'share' the photos from the 5MP cam thru wifi than 3G?

Quick question for those who've got it: On the back of the phone, is the upper plate around the camera (where it says 5mp autofocus) made of metal too or is it glossy plastic? Thanks.

Good news Steve. Now I want this phone even more. I desperately need a new phone and this is the perfect one. I expect phones to last at least three years (yes, i don't like wasteful spending ;) ) so a sturdy metallic phone like this is what I want.
If only nokia would hurry up with getting this to market. :( Don't know where you live, but here still no sign of it...
(I also don't want to spend 350+ euros on a phone, at least not now, so this is perfect. All the goodies, but not too expensive and hopefully good quality)
