just got it 2 months ago, bnib/brand new in box, nos/new old stock from my local nokia distributor ... i hacked it right away, install so many apps, game, themes etc and now it's best phone i ever use....

helpp..me my N86 battery self heating when left idle..battery is new during charging it does not heat like keeping it idle..

Hey guys i am planning to buy this phone second hand for an ocassion, cz m not gonna get a better camera for that than this phone has. so i just want to know the cons of this set so that i can point them to the phone seller before purchasing!

The benefits of the Cooked Firmware is it gives you more system tools and softwares and some annoying theme effects. The applications after flashing a CFW to the phone can be downloaded indeed. The main annoying part is the theme effects. You'll be fed some wannabe effects.
Thing about the installation of unsigned apps, you can google it because i found a way to use it via the Rom Patcher+.

My N86 8MP(white) still working well after 1 year and 5 months. Is only the memory getting fulled, it will hang after i record high MB video. Battery not last that long anymore.
My phone never have the problem of warming up. Overall, it is a good phone.

Hello friends,
My N86's photos application keep on opening by itself quite frequently. I showed it at the nokia repair center. They told me that its a software problem and kept the phone for a month. When they returned it, the problem seem to have solved but to my utter dismay, it recurred after 3-4 days. When i went back to show this problem, they told me that this problem cannot be solved by them. Moreover my phone is not connecting to the pc suite either. I am the latest software version of this phone. Plz suggest me what to do???

N86 is the best camera phone ever. I have N8 also but N86 has more features. And even N86 is better than some good digital cameras also in specifications. Don't judge any cameras by seeing its megapixels only.
N86 camera featuring 8 MP, CMOS sensor, Carl Zeiss Tessar lens, 20x digital zoom, Auto focus with light assist two stage capture. Wide angle optics 28mm (only n86 has this feature among all mobile phones). Large and variable aperture, high speed shutter maximum shutter speed: 1/1000sec and many other features. Now plz check N8 CAMERA SPECS, nokia should increase N86 price in the market..N86 is a great smart camera phone ever with cool apps

For closer objects just adjust to CLOSE UP mode,then u can take abt 15cm to 50cm close objects..i mosty use it for capture documents,and its much better than scanning.
