I really like this phone, It seems alot more pumped up in thier specs, Almost like a computer today.
The camera isnt really lacking since people want good pictures, not large and blurry, Carl zeiss optics makes it alot more worth than 12 mp camera.
The new OS seems to be the best feature about this phone, Was about time the Linux-Based OS:es came forth to knock the whole industrial world out,
This should make all the other big phone companies make better OS:es, And so on soon these new trends of Mini Computers will dissapear when those phones come out.
But well.. No phone cant really replace the whole Desktop Keyboard when it comes to size and comfort...

many people are talking about the cam's megapixels or video fps,, if your ultimate interest are these stuff go get a sonyericsson W something with 12mpixel and other features u want,, this device is not about these specs, it's an internet tablet which offers u a computer-like experience, iphone-level os yet with multi tasking and full features we've seen in other high end mobiles, including an 5 mpixel cam with excellent optics, 800X480 video, a 16m 800X480 pixel screen, excellent browser, wifi, tv-out, good battery.. but these things are only icing on the cake hich is the maemo OS,,, so if u want some slim 12 mpixel cam phone go search for some lg or sony ericsson mobile,,

i would of ran out and bought this phone a year ago without hesitation.
now ill just wait for the reviews, wait for the price to go down and wait to see if something else comes up better. if nothing else comes up and the reviews are really good, i may buy one.
i was a big fan of the n770 internet tablet but they just took too long to come out with the n900
still glad to see it come out tho.

Please stop comparing everything to iPhone and Apple toys! iPhone is a piece of rubbish, can't compare it to real phones. It is not appealing to anyone who takes this concept seriously.

just another phone. wont make a dent to the regular phone user.
only power users familiar with maemo will enjoy this phone. kind of like winmo phones. people who dont know how to do the hacks hates the phone. normal users will find it difficult to use or install upgrades.
power users is just a very small part of phone users.
