I just manage to fix my Nokia N97 bright light on the side by removing the plastic cover of the lence. Please be extra careful on removing it and do not scratch the lence. Just lift the side corner of the camera to take out the plastic cover. It works good and awesome. No more bright light on the side. Trust me. It works 100 percent. Make sure always slide the Carl Zeiss cover back to protect lence from dirt and moistures. Good luck!
