Had this phone for 14 months now, had no problems with it whatsoever (Android Eclair). I've noticed the latest mid-range Samsung smart phones aren't significantly different. eg the Ace has a slightly bigger screen, better camera, flash and a radio but that's about all, merely tweaks in my opinion. Looks like I will be holding onto the i5700 for another year or so :)

PS: Unlike what's said in the GSM review, I had voice navigation from day one (Australia)

Good quality phone, but the battery is getting worse after 6 months. Bought a new battery and first 3 days it was like it always has been, but then again.. Half day battery life.. Also, i wasn't able to upgrade it to 2.1. Tried practically everything, but the downloading progress was always stuck at 0%.. But despite all that, the quality of the phone itself is really great !
Still a good phone for these days. :)

I am facing this problem of "phone storage space getting low"......I delted around 200 sms....lots of applications..and now I have around 7-10 mb free.........
I am unable to recevie SMS...and this message gets usualy flashed as soon I open my phone...

i checked with anti virus..malwares etc........
anyone know ..what could be the problemm...

also...wanted to know....since i have donwloaded 15 mb games and some 7-10 mb each of applications....does it store the aplication dump and then install or applications directly gets installed on phone so double memory is not wastted....

can someone help....already been a week and NO smses fr me :(

Why did my phone stop locking?it restarts after 20 seconds into a phone call? Its really getting annoying

I am quiet happy with the phone...have been using it from past 2 yrs and haven't got any performance issue...battery life is still good......haven't upgraded the Android version as it still lets me do everything :)

Probably the crappiest phone I've had in my entire life.
After one year of use, battery life became sporradic, stating full charge, and dying anywhere between 2-5 hours after depending on amount of BASIC usage (text message conversation, incoming/outgoing)

dont even get me started on the battery life when using market apps (browsing facebook at my liesure led to a 45 min batt life)

Extremely degraded performance as phone became older. Eventually it became a hassle for me to unlock the phone, as it consistantly failed to recognize me holding the lock button.

This phone has left me stranded, and i dont regret literally shattering it for fun after I got my HTC Incredible

i have this phone for almost a year now, i have no regrets. still stock 2.1, temporary rooted 40MB free memory, i use link2sd for storing apps to sd card. using launcher pro ui is pretty fast for me. i use skyfire to play flash videos, poweramp to have decent audio. just dont know how to install multi touch and 3d drivers

Just root phone, everything will be there. You will lose warranty though, but since this phone is already old, I think the warranty will be void already.

Should fix the camera and market problem.

good day to all..pls help me with my problem..i have a problem with my samsung i5700..i accedentally hard reset my cell phone..and i notice that i cannt use my camera anymore..if i use d camera..theres an error and camera has been stop..aplication error bla bla bla..hehe..guys can you help me pls with my problem..thanks guys..looking forward for your help..
