FYI, if your unit came from other countries and you want to update your OS at samsung center (Philippines), from Winmo 6.1 to 6.5, (units from other country are charge Php 500.00 for the upgrade) and the big risk for this upgrade, is that your unit might be blocked, and the repair will cost about 60% of the unit price. As per advised by Samsung, this only happens very rare.

go into "wireless manager" 2nd icon from left on top of screen, press "all data connection" then disconect all. That will close 3g (all internet) manually. Or while in wireless manager press "menu" then "Data con.Settings"
then tick sleep. That will close internet connections when phone takes a nap.

> In reply to fadz @ 2010-02-04 19:54 from kPd0 - click to readHi there, I come across that before but I forgot how...im sure there was an option somewhere in the settings that says connect when available, may be that is activated in your phone, thats why the 3g always get connected..you have to turn that off. I know this doesnt help a lot...just an idea. goodluck

> In reply to ANUAR @ 2010-02-05 09:25 from ib3a - click to readI encountered this same problem before when I choose in the option to have the time be shown all the time on the title bar. I think there is just a limit on the number of items that can be shown on the title bar so when I choose the time to be shown, the battery status was removed. If this is the case with your phone, then you have to go to the clock (world clock), press options and uncheck the "display the clock on the title bar in all programs". Hope that helps.
