TouchWiz is not that great a lot of duplication and unnecessary functions to make it look like features. They are trying to take the behold I and cross port the features to the behold, which was done poorly. It needs an update. the is also some audio quality issues and here is the biggie.....there no way to sync your itunes music !! only media player on the Windows platform.

I was one of the first to get the Samsung Behold II yesterday from T-Mobile and while I was doing so, was disappointed to find out that the processor was only a 528Mhz ! Sprint has and earlier version which comes with a 800 Mhz CPU. Getting this phone was a trade for the MyTouch 3g (528Mhz, 198 internal RAM). While it has an upgraded camera (5Mpx with flash) I did fine its zoom feature to be a bit blurry at half to max magnification. As for the TouchWiz media cube, I am trying understand the need for this as there is banner at the bottom of the screen that offers access to the same features, why ?? As for the USB port, it is on top of the phone, which makes it difficult the charge the phone and talk at the same time. In addition, this port seems to proprietary usb, or must be a new standard, current mini usb cable will not fit. It is snappy and there are some quick access options to Wifi, Bluetooth and others from the notification bar, however, duplication of accessing apps and features is very much apart of this phone. It feels lighter than the iPhone and is about 1 -2 mm thicker . They say it will be able to run Andriod 2.0 when it is out, I wonder how it will the perform due to the processor and limited internal RAM. One great thing, I did not have to sign into to Google before I was able to use the phone ! thanks Samsung.
Bottom line, it is a good phone. Andriod is Andriod and Samsung is Samsung. It has some good features once you get use to them. I fell it needs an update from Samsung to make a few things work better, however, this should not stop any one from purchasing this phone. It is better than the MyTouch 3G, but not the competitor the HTC Hero (which is really fast). I rate this phone as a 3.5 to 4 stars, however, its early days. I hope Samsung and Google will keep me feeling this way ( and get the update out very soon), if not better !! I'm hoping for better

does the behold 2 requires internet connection in order to work, such as the G1 or the mytouch?

we just got our behold 2 in the store and i love the hardware, its slim, sleek and very sharp. The version os android is not as nice, i really think if you flashed it with 2.0 or even 1.6 it would be a great phone!!! Which is what i plan on doing...

As you mentioned that it takes 5 seconds to take a picture, perhaps that's the reason why it is called beHOLD. It simply holds you up.

> In reply to tuan @ 2009-10-08 20:10 from qJ3cYES! You are so right! Although I appreciate the 5mp camera on my Behold, I hate how the camera takes too damn long to take the picture. (And explaining to other people that they need to hold the button for several seconds, is a pain...not to mention if they need to use flash 'cause then you have to also tell them to hold the camera INCREDIBLY still to avoid a blurry pic.)

I hope this android is as good as it's portrayed to be because the first two android phones didn't live up to the hype they were both getting.I really hope this android phone has adobe flash,a better camera and video recorder than its siblings, and a better virtual keyboard.I can't wait until this comes out in November or December so I can upgrade from my aging G1.
