your stara is a bunch of crap. SE are producing phones for every consumer group. No one can force you buying every phone. It's free market, you buy what you want, you know?

I change the front and back casing of my phone into black and it looks cool! The bad part is that to change the casing you have to open the whole phone were in the motherboard is totally exposed...so be careful!

momo,

after downloading those jar files, using the pc suite—put them on the 'others' folder (on file manager).
after that, select them on your phone and it will automatically open and ask you on what folder you would want to install it (i.e. games, applications)

melissa harrington,

i think, the reason why you can't turn it on is because it has already lost battery power. now regarding that charging problem, the contact pin below (where you snap in the charger) is probably just dirty.
it happened to me before. it could possibly be that.

I enjoy this phone for some months, yet the only reason I am not completely happy with it is that there's no memory card available. It has a radio, though. Still, this is a good phone, really solid and resistant.

Has anybody had this problem? I have it on the loudest ring tone and no graduated sound and most of the time, I do not hear it when it's in my bag.
Has anybody else found this? I've taken it back to where I bought it and had it checked out and asked at other dealers and no one can tell me how to get it louder.
Any ideas would be appreciated. thanks

The remote control software is now free!
waaaaa I wasted my money! If only I waited a little longer.../sob

Sony Ericsson envisages a touchscreen remote control that can display different remote control user interfaces, while the phone itself contains the necessary electronics to control a home device such as your TV or Hi-Fi. the general idea is of making your mobile phone an actual remote control, capable of switching TV channels, calling up and controlling a TV programme guide, operating your DVD or VCR, in other words, everything you'd want a remote control to control.

Sony Ericsson's idea is even more ingenious, though, as they anticipate the remote contorl user interface being implemented as a 'skin', which can be downloaded onto the phone either from the device itself or from a website.Now the question must surely be "why has Sony Ericsson not released this feature yet?" as this patent was filed on August 26th 2005. Of all the amazing features crammed into mobile phones over the past few years, surely this one is a killer app. source:Patent Page mobilementalism

i got this phone back in may, it is sweet
i just wish i didnt live in america, coz then i could use the video calling. i also wish i didnt have cingular, cause i can only get half of their signals, o well.
too bad no expandable memory
yea, u can use it as a remote control for computers and projectors and other things like that stock. lots of fun to go to the apple store, pair it with one of the computers through bluetooth, then control the computer while people are trying to use it. hours of fun
hehe

I've got the phone for like 1 year (brought form France) and have had NO problems ever.
On a 1 to 10 scale overall I would put a strong 8, it's a great phone for its price,but just small remarks:
1. Very-very little memory;
2. If you are a sms-user, you'll have problems cause the buttons are integrated too deep in the phone's body;
3. Short-time lasting battery.

so, if anybody knows how to turn off the 3G option on the phone (there is no 3G service in Moldova yet, or I don't know about it) plz tell me how to do it. thanx
