and another thing, samsung have showed the world they can produce quality cameras on their phones, so why do you assume the idou's camera will be better?

i mean, the innov8 was much better than the c905

the omnia HD has more features than the idou, so dont even go there!

In my personal opinion Sony Ericsson make phones which are exceptional and I have had no trouble with there phones. The first phone I bought from there was a k300i, which I loved, and then after trying LG and Samsung, I purchased a k850i. I did a lot of research into it, and I was thrilled when I bought it because the camera quality was exceptional and much better than the fellow 5 megapixel phones. I had a slight issue with it, but it was due to computer virus rather than the phone, and Sony Ericsson provided me with lots of knowledge to repair my phone, which was free.

Now I have a c905, which is AMAZING as a phone, it takes pictures better than some real characters and is perfect for pictures with lots of different types of modes and scenes. The stabilizer, Face Detection and Smile Shutter all work perfectly, and add to the beauty and crispness of the image. The pictures are sharp and always of high quality.

Therefore I have very very high expectations of the Idou. It looks lovely and I am very excited that it is a real smartphone, and I think the touch screen will be very good. I think a QWERTY keyboard may have made it better, but I am not worried because not only would that have made the price higher, and I think it would have been to small. I intend to purchase it unless it is to expensive. If it is, then I will be deeply upset, as my father is getting a Nokia N97 and he will be showing off about it for quite a while.

And I think if Sony Ericsson can deliver something like below, then I would be very very happy.

Can't wait for the official announcement of idou's specification. This is a do or die for sony ericsson. If they fail to deliver with idou, then there's literally no more hope for them to recover. I don't mean to spill some cold water but if sony still refuse to utilize it's superb technology onto idou, then it'll really mark the end for them. Unlike samsung which are useless to start with, except for their screen display, sony have everything up their sleeves, from outstanding camera technology to one of a kind screen display. So, if idou really have the essence of sony and ericsson, then this will really be a phone to behold and it will definitely bring change to the financial status of sony ericsson.

Like what i said in my previous post, hopefully idou will comprises of the following features:
1. 12.1megapixels with EXMOR sensor, BIONZ engine and high QUALITY LENS.
2. 1500mAh battery.
3. Clear audio experience with some improvements.
4. D1 and HD recording capability
5. Fast wi-fi and accurate GPS.
6. Uses IT OMAP 3430-3640, either one.
7. High ram(at least 258ram) and high rom to ensure swift performance.
8. BRAVIA display quality.
9. True camera xenon(multiple burst instead of one burst. Take the n82 for example) with AF-assist light and strong video recording light.
10. Projected capacitive/capacitive touch with multi-touch ui and touch flo 3D.
11. 8GB of internal memory and can support up to 16GB.
12. REASONABLY PRICED!

- ui, not much different between the old 6600 n new n85 for example.. (basicly same design, but new features r there)

- headset.. dont use AD 45 HS 54 anymoreeeeeeeeeeeee... but i think there will be new headset for 5330..

- maybe, sound quality.. but some improvement for 5800..

- design of the fone itself.. just compare these fones..

6216 with 6720, 6710, 6210, 6220, 6260..
(cant u imagine?? 6 fones which have basically same design..

n81 with n85, n96, n 86..
4 n series with EXACTLY same deisgn again...

in belgium it would go around +- 650 euries (406 £). Not the cheapest phone, but deffinetly one of the better :-)
