I have just bought W508 for my wife. It's quite user friendly, easy touch, and I has all what a lady needs in a phone. But, the camera is not quite good. Actually she always complains about its focus shortcoming.
Anyway, thank you SONY ERICSSON.

Actually i bought sony ericsson c510 2 months ago..n i really dissapointed with it coz its keep on hanging, so i though wana change my phone.So i wanted to know between t707 n w508...wic one is better coz i dont wan to make the same mistake...Pls help me friends..

it's available already in the philippines. saw it at sm manila cyberzone. but only 1 store selling it around 9T+.

this phone looks nice when you see it in the store or on images, and when you look at the box. and then at home you realize it is a cheap mistake. this makes me a little bit angry.

best phone i've ever had! yey! still love it! this phone also strong! i've fall it for manytime but it still work normally without lack on it's fold! love it!

i'm torn between w508 and w980 :p...someone please advise me...
which phone should i go for???
not much difference in the price between w508 and w980 at my place...difference is in the range RM20-RM80 (i'm from malaysia)
i like w508's design but i also like the clear bass function in w980(design.so-so)...
someone..please help me!!!

You can download flash themes to the phone but the corresponding flash menus will not work. You will need to use the A2Uploader software to get the flash menus into the phone. This link will guide you:

i. It really depends on your service provider. Mine is sh@#$%! Btw, mine is Maxis from M’sia.

i. Dunno, never reached maximum.
ii. Yes you can move ur sms to the memory card at the Manage Messages option. You can also categorize your sms.

Hello, I'm planning to buy a new phone next month and this phone has caught my attention.
I want to know if it will be worth the price if ever I'm going to buy it.
What can you say about the:
a) camera
i. based on the corresponding megapixels, are the images clear/vivid enough?
ii. does it have flash?
iii. does it have video light?
iv. does it have a good shutter speed?
v. is the secondary camera able to render clear images?
b) speaker
i. does the speaker have good sound quality?
ii. is the sound clear?
iii. is it loud enough to be used for alarm?
c) media files supported
i. can it play flv, wmv, wav, mpga, avi files?
d) display
i. does it have an auto-rotate function?
e) internet connectivity
i. is the connection speed fast enough?
f) battery life
i. how long (in terms of # of days) is the average standby time after charging?
g) group SMS sending
i. does it have threaded view?
ii. what is the maximum # of recipients in a group SMS?
h) memory
i. what is the maximum # of messages that can be stored in the inbox?
ii. can you store messages in the memory card?
Your answers to the above questions will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read and answer. I hope you can help me decide wisely on this matter. :)
