it's a gd fone, very stylish, but it hs its bad syds 2, lyk switchin off n da screen turnin blank all of a sudden

Im thinking of buying a sagem my511x and the comments on this page point towards being really bad .. whats wrong with it .. it loooks good and is really sleek .. whats wrong?

Within two days of purchasing this phone it has gone back to my local woolworths following the issue of a fault code. The phone had various faults bluetooth connectivity, screen blacked out randomly including crashing the phone. MP3 Player crashing. T9 function would not stay on as default as Sagems manual states it should. images bluetoothed in including photos would sometimes go in and show as wallpaper but then if you tried again they were corrupted severely this happened regardless of if they were in memory or on transflash card. Midi and Mp3s would not alway be accepted or played also 3gp compatibility was bad from phone to phone. I have to give this nil points from the UK Jury. Woolworths technical help line said that the phone had no master reset and there was no magic software updates for the phone to fix the problems and they offered a no quibble refund (the orange shops are a different story as they do not have a 14 day change of mind or refund if faulty and you have to demonstrate faults in store before anything is done (if you cant then its by by to your money).
Dont buy this phone you will waste your money and your time.

was quite surprised to find you could turn off the orange home page and operator logo. once this is done, oranges intrusion into the software is none existant. these are going for 25 quid in argos(uk). good for a second phone if you dont want to loose your flash handset whilst on the pop! grab a bargain.

if by base you mean "bass" then it has no bass. its a very small tinny speaker with no bass capabilities at all. if you want bass, buy a stereo!
