This is the best phone i never had.... I had it for 2 years and i promisse i dint dropped at all. I bought a stilus and a cover, and the paint is great... I just love this phone... This phone did not gave me problems at all... just sold it about 2 months ago cuz i qualified for a 2 year contract..

don't buy this phone. camera sucks. no focus. no flash. video capturing SUCKS, especially at concerts, sounds like crap. also no wifi. just don't..
i've been stuck with it for 2 years. can't wait til i can afford a sony ericsson. sony ericsson cameras kick ass.

If that doesnt work you can take it to a phone shop and get if cleaned. I that doesnt work you probably need to replace your touch pad and if that doesnt work then i really dont know what will work.
I do have this samsung phone and it did started freezing up( really bad)- all i did was to delete a few things and im good as new.

I've had this phone for 1 and 1/2 years and I can tell you that this is the WORST phone I ever owned! Forget that the front scratches easily and if you drop it, it marks up so fast. The problem is that if you drop it, the back cover is so poorly attached that it consistently comes off and the battery drops out. The last time this happened, the battery was banged up slightly from falling out and now my phone jumps around when texting, I can't hear callers on the other line and texting is lagged horribly. Also, if you put your phone on vibrate, you will never hear it or feel it in you pocket. The touch on the texting needs lots of pressure and often results in misspelling, even when using the T9.
Bottom line, don't buy this phone. There are plenty out there that are much better than this one.

You can text while you are on the phone. If you push the buttons on the side of the phone it comes up with a screen that gives you the option to text

I love this phone. It has a great touch screen. I wish it had better apps but thats the only problem.

u can change the message tone u have to go into the sound profile settings

Personally, I was very excited to get this phone. However, after one year of it-I had to get a different one about 4 months ago, cause the first ones calibration was off and wouldnt correct itself, and there was a bubble on the screen that made it do that. It wasnt because of my fault, but still they (at&t) MADE me pay 50.00 for a new phone. I was ticked, but glad to get another one of the same kind. HOWEVER, the one they sent me was refurbished-which I didnt know until about a month later when I had almost the same problem with the calibration and had to call them. They said I'd have to pay for another one, and I said stuff it, you're not gonna get another penny from me. I have tried to calibrate it, but it doesnt work. So, i'm stuck with another crappy phone from them. I will NEVER tell anyone to get this phone only because of my problems with this one. Next time, I'm going with Sprint or someone else. At&t sucks.

Ive owned a Samsung Eternity a867.for almost a year now, Feb.2009. I love it!
I'm a Adult, but I'm a Big Kid too,
I text 6000 - 7000 texts a month.
The camera takes awesome pictures, the video camera works great.
When Your in a City that has 3G OMG!!!!! This [hone Fly's, Everything runs so FAST, can't believe it.
I do recommend this phone to others. but there are some drawn backs.
1. No Speed Dial
2. No Signatures
3.well i have 3 can't think of it.
anyway overall this is a Awesome Phone, I give it a 100%.
P.S.
On the Speed Dial, there is a short cut.

Here's a way to have Speed Dial, on your Phone,
it's awesome, wish i would have found it 8 months ago.
To add contacts to your favorites list follow the steps below: AT&T Samsung Eternity info
1. From the standby screen, press Contacts
2. Press the Contacts drop down arrow, located in the top right corner, then press Favorites
3. Press Add then press the desired Contact
4. Continue step 3 until all Favorites have been added
To quickly place calls to your Favorites follow the steps below:
1. From the standby screen, press Contacts
2. Press the Contacts drop down arrow, located in the top right corner, then press Favorites
3. Press green phone icon to the right of the desired Contact to place the call

ive had the phone for a year now and i like it pretty much except thers no speed dial its hard to see in the sun and you cant make it change tones when you recieve a message and the message tone it has isnt loud enough also you cant make you on ringtones but havent had the first problem with it and im rough on it ive dropped it several times but it is in a hard case protector i still like it

No you cant change the sceensaver thing when you put it on lock mode..other than that this is a great phone, It has little flaws but it dosen't bother me very much,. I Love it! But I have only replaced this phone once because apprantly mines was a defect..but in other words I would highly recommend getting this phone. :'D

This phone is amazing i got it for my birthday, i love how it is so slim and the fast text messeging, i have never had a better phone in my life, my friends wount leave me alown for to seconeds so i can use it for my oun use, if any one is thinking of buying a phone i highly recomend this one!!!
