You can get around the 300kbs restriction.
1) from phone memory set a ringtone that is less than 300 to a caller. it is in tones folder.
2) connect to computer using USB
3) delete that ringtone and use any one that you want but rename it to the one you just deleted.

I haven't tried the internet on it as I don't have a data plan, so I am unsure about .pdf files. The MP3 ringtones are limited to a size of 300kb only, so get Audacity to shorten your mp3's you want as ringtones. The sound and video of this phone are great, but thats to my own standards. I'd suggest going to your local cell store and trying one out hands on. You can buy applications and games from ATT through the phone, and the only change in "themes" you can do is the background image or wallpaper. Hope this helps!

Can we read pdf files on it and can someone tell me rather we can set long songs as ringtones or not and one more thing how is the sound and video appearence of this phone plus can we install themes and applications on it or not thanks in advance your reply is appreciated if you can also point out its plus points and negative points with brief explanation

This phone is garbage. The battery is awful. Every 100 text messages you have to turn it off and restart it, because the phone freezes. Does not have threaded texting. The screen is nice, but nothing amazing. I returned it and am getting The Samsung Jack.

im getting an upgrade in a couple of months, and this phone looks great! it looks very attractive. i've looked at lots of reviews and i saw some good and bad things about this phone. i heard the impression locks up, and the battery life isn't great, the keys brake, etc. i can't decide if i want either the samsung impression, or the LG Xenon? I text ALOT, and i get really annoyed with my motorola razor, that i am using right now. it has a horrible camera, and it's not the BEST texting phone. i need a phone that has a full keyboard! does anyone know how much the impression is when you already are in a plan? and the xenon? please, let me know (;
