not sure why anyone would spend good money on a phone and then intentionally drop it in water, run over it, drop it etc. just because the phone is made to a tough spec doesn't mean it can be abused for the sake of abusing it. if you drop it on the job, or fall out of a kayak with it, or any other accidental mishap, it is designed to continue working. try that with your nokia. that's exactly why i gave up on nokias. each time you subject your B2100 to that kind of punishment you are weakening it so that the next time it may not come out of it so well. showing off to your friends by calling your phone while it's in a sink full of water is asking for trouble regardless of how well the phone is made. good luck.

Using this phone for about a month, I can say this phone is really useful, especially for those who loved to drop and sinking their phone or if you want to take a shower and swim with your phone, this phone is really special for you..
Actually, this phone has been ran over by my car tires..
You see the video on youtube, many people with this phone doing that thing..

hi, I dipped the phone in a glass of water to show my friends, the water seems to have entered the display area and the camera. The earpiece was very low, but now its cleared , the camera is also cleared of water,it has dried up, but the moisture in the display area has not gone yet any other user has same problem ??????The display screen has moisture and there seems to be a water mark or stain in the display....

Ths fone sucks
Plz dnt buy it .i usd it n it is a big head ache nokia is far better no 1 beat nokia as far as mobile phone are considerd as it concentrats only on the phone nt on tvz.fridge n ol like samsung....plz take my advice n buy nokia only.....plz..if u want a qualitx phn n if u want 2 waste ur money thn buy it

its a very good mobile with a great battery bacup and have a great music with other unique features like that shock proof and water and dust proof my own experience of this handsets its an exelent model present by samsung mobile

to add people to ur group:
first of all create a group....
then go into ur phone book n browse to the person u want to add than click option - edit - here u'll find the group sign(below the ringtone sign) jus click on it n it will show u all the groups u have created jus add this person to watever group u want.

A phone is not a computer, so I do not expect superior browsing quality from a phone, but definitely do expect very good voice call quality. B2100 does have good voice quality, and decent music player experience (again, a phone is not a music player).

If you live in a hot, and humid country, where chances of sweat reaching your phone in your pocket are high, then this phone is for you. I am from India, this phone makes a lot of sense.

Secondly, if you have kids in the range of 1yr through 4yrs., then this phone is definitely for you (how many times has your kid daughter, aged 1 and half yrs. put your cellphone in her mouth? :))

Having said that, if you are looking for a all-in-one mobile, so that you can save money on a laptop, or on a good Canon digicam, then probably you need to look elsewhere. ;)

The phone does take a good beating, and is surely waterproof (tested by submerging it in a bucket of water for about a minute, and then making a call to it while in water).

I bought this phone just to use as a phone, and it does that pretty well. I wanted something waterproof, shockproof, and small, with long batterylife and few bell/whistles. It does that VERY well. If you want lots of features, however, look elsewhere. Love the flashlight.

Hi you can not compare nokia with SAMSUNG nokia is scrap B2100 is the best use your old scrap nokia

I've just bought the phone and have a few questions. Does anyone have advice on the undermentioned? I don't find the phone very user friendly in terms of:

1) To creat a new message takes "long". Go to contacts, options, send message, message...with my previous nokia phone it was more simple.
2) When receiving an sms I first have to unlock the keypad before I can view the sms...can I change this setting
3) I have not been able to add a member to a group. I've been able to create the group but not able to add any members. Any advice?
4) I am able to send a namecard but it arrives as an attachment on someone else's phone who then can't open the attachment?

Maybe I'm still an old Nokia fan that still needs to be converted :) but I think some of the functions on the Samsung take too long to activate/use!

Would like to hear from people who own the phone.

Love it, It is the best Nokia can not beat this, you can wash your phone, Samsung keep up the good work
