Can't work out why there is a reception problem. tryed an old faithful SGH-X460 and that has only got Duel Band GSM 900 + 1800MHz, and works well in areas the B2700 doesn't. So how can one go backwards nowadays, come on Samsung ... i know its not the provider.

So far the phone has been good and the battery life is improved if you disable the 3g. As i said before this is a good phone for tradies. more updates later

I have this samsung b2700 for 1 week now and i find it fairly good to use. I have no issues with it so far but i would like to know how can you extend the battery life. For example can this phone be switched from 3g to 2g to save power and can the gprs be deactivated and activated through the main menu. I'm a tradie and the sound level is good but need to know how to get the maximum sound when on loud speaker. The only main concern is when you keep pressing the ''back'' botton you end up surfing the net. Can this icon be moved on the to another place on the home page or removed all together? Consider the b2700 if you are a tradie and you dont really need all the other crap.

I experienced the exact same problem with my B2700 and not anyone seemed to know how to fix this " restart- problem ", no one but You. I deactivaded that Pedometer and all of sudden it works perfectly again like it used to work in 6 months. Thank you, you´re the man!

I had this phone for exactly 2 days (!), then it fell out of my pocket (about 80 cm drop) onto a gravel road (NOT EVEN CONCRETE!) and the screen broke ... and now it looks as samsung refuses to exchange the phone for free ... so that is what they sell to us stupid customers as a "RUGGEDIZED" and "SHOCKPROOF" handset. I am soooooo dissapointed by samsung, because i really like their phones, but this is unaccepatable.

so, here is my resume over this product:
THIS PHONE IS DEFINITELY NOT SHOCKPROOF, NO MATTER WHAT THE SAMSUNG COMERCIALS SAY!!! DON'T BUY THIS HANDSET IF YOU WANT A SHOCKPROOF PHONE!!!

SO LONG S*U*C*K*E*R*S!!! THIS WAS DEFINITELY THE LAST SAMSUNG PHONE I BOUGHT!!!

I have had my phone now for about 6 months. In as far as durability goes I have no problems with it. I've dropped it a couple of times as I have been taking it out of my pocket or getting out of the car and it survived without even a scratch. As a tradesman I don't need and don't use much of the other features. What I do need it for however, making and recieving calls, it fails miserably. I have had it back to Samsung once for repairs however no faults were found. I have taken it back again today so fingers crossed. It seems to regularly freeze, reception is scratchy at best and calls drop out frequently. My next phone will not be a Samsung if these problems persist. I will keep you updated.
