hi there,

Just wondering if anyone else has had any of the following issues:
Incoming calls then phone freezes then resets itself, sitting untouched then phone turns itself on then back on. I am experiencing these issues on a regular basis 3 weeks after insurance has run out.

Thanks

My biggest problem with this phone is, not as much as reception, but the mounting connection for the charger, which is located on the side and can not be plugged in when the phone is in my car phone cradle. Further more the same connecting point is used for portable hands free, which is useless when the phone is on a lennard b/c it constantly becomes unplugged. Just a bad design.

Well, I've been using this mobile for more than 1.5 year and I must say that I'm really satisfied with it. The battery lasts numerous days even though I use it a lot and the flash light has been a real saviour on numerous occasions.
The problem with connection a lot of you mention is very common for Samsung UMTS mobiles. The problem is that sometimes they don't switch between GSM and UMTS signal fast enough, when there is poor reception. The solution is very simple - just set your mobile on GSM mode only and that should solve the problem - though that means you won't be able to make video calls...

Do you jnow something about the next product from this series. Have anyone heard something, are they willing to make some more. Because I will really enjoy some "iron" phone like this one, but with GPS and Wi_fi?

Greetings.

I think that if you press # (or if it is *) when you start writing a new message you get the option to turn off the T9...

I have been reading some recent comments and up till this time i have not had any major issues. One annoying thing is when texting the phone seems to have a locked in t9 which i hate. Can the t9 be over written? Voice sound is mostly clear and have not experienced any drop out in the melbourne area. If you want everything in a tough trade phone be prepared to spend good money to get quality. The seimens m65 was the better of the early trade phones but with less features than the b2700 but that was a few years ago now. I guess the question is do seimens (or benq now) have a trade phone available in australia?

Mine drops out a lot as well! I think its the Ruggerised enclosure that must be blocking the signal. Can you boost up the antennas on these phones?

Mine drops out all the time as well, and I don't remember my old phone ever dropping out. The other thing it does is resets itself for no reason. I get a Black and White screen saying enter Pin. Annoying! Love the torch function!

Reception is very poor! Swapped the sim to my N95 and full service! Put it back in the B2700 and 1/2 signal strength. Calls drop out every day on the B2700 and never on the N95 or any other 3G handset. They need to be recalled! Driving me nuts!!! and I am not the only one dealing with this fault.
