Up until this moment, I was considering getting a Nokia E51 as an addition to my current ROKR E6. But on reading the review of this phone, I am absolutely sold on it. Will get one as soon as I can lay hands on it. Rugged, durable, supposedly good display, voice clarity, loud ringing and speakerphone, EDGE and 3G, torchlight, good battery life, good keypad... absolutely meets my requirements. I can live without Wi-fi. And HSDPA/3.5G is still a long way off when I still don't have simple 3G here in India (although it will be launched by about the end of this year).
Just hope the price bracket quoted in the review is approximately correct. It would be a sweet spot indeed for this beauty...
I'll be right here waiting for you.... well if not, will get u from Dubai or Singapore

well it's pity that it hasnt 3.5 mm audio jack. But still SONIM is the best in durability.

Hi, Just want to know if anyone of you have already used the phone? It's regarding the capacity of the inbox for sms, if its as large as the one in the U600 (1000)or the standard 200 messages in the D880. I had both phone & enjoyed using them. I'm looking for a more rugged one that I can use when I'm at work( construction). Thank you in advance.

it's been a long time since Siemens came up with their first rugged phone ten years ago, and it proved to be a succesful one.
many fans (including me) was crying when the company declare their bancruptcy knowing that there will be no more good rugged phone produce by the company.
it's good to know that Samsung finally decide to take the responsibility and make a fully featured rugged phone.
now all i can do is wait until this phone available in my country and i can finally put my good ol' Siemens M-series to a rest...
:)

The looks reminds me of Sony Ericsson's K300i. Hope the price also matches so I can get one as the features seem to be good.

this is the best durable phone on the market to date. Much better than the M110. I dont think it will be as cheap. But i dont mind its the 1st durable phone to have 3G.

Whoaaaa! Great job Samsung! You made a tough mobile phone at this time. Much better than Nokia 5140/5140i.
