I have nought this set recently and I don't know how to set the memory card as default memory location.
My songs are directly loaded to phone memory.

I use this phone for the past 5 months. Phone was with the service centre and with the dealer for service twice (it was with them for about one month's time). Once when I closed the slide the display went off and didn't come back until I restart. In another case it was totally dead and I got it repaired in 15 days time. I am not satisfied with Samsung service.
About the phone: For the price of Rs.3300/- I find it a better choice. Being a BPO employee my office only allows me to use a no-camera phone. This is the best of that kind. (Basic phone without camera but with music player and other good options)
- Easy to use SMS (bit diff from Nokia, still user friendly). Group messaging is possible. 10 groups / 20 contacts per group - it's great man.
- MP3 player is okay. Though you are suppose to save all files in Music folder to play them as playlist. Only 4 play lists allowed (30 songs per playlist). No background play possible. Audio output / ringtone clarity is okay.
- when a call comes the fm/mp3 player stops and not resuming automatically, asking our permission.
- You cannot create profiles to change the ringtone modes to your need (like meeting / home / outdoor). But you shall assign shortcut with the arrow keys for changing the ringtones. It's easy.
- No background playing
- FM recording is a gift in this phone. You can convert them as MP3 files and use as ringtones.
- some of the audio types are not playable (something like recorded thru other phones)
- SD card slot is inside the phone. you need to remove battery to change it....uff...sorry Samsung.
- No blue tooth.
If this phone doesn't trouble me much for another year, I will feel good for buying this considering the initial trouble this gave to me are case sensitive. Bcas I don't hear any complaints from my friends who use this fone.

The user interface is very bad.... if you are a Nokia user then forget about this phone... Samsung should improve on user interface....

Not only 4GB Memory, but this phone is also capable of playing M4A and MP4 files. The only problem is that those files can not be added to playlist and needed to be played directly through file manager. sound quality of this phone through 3.5 mm is exceptional. Sound quality easly the same as i450. The only differance is later has more volume.

You can use even 4GB Micro SDHC as well. I have tested on my mothers one. It has absolutely no problem. Sound quality is good too plus ultimate backup of battary.

i have a B520V (from vodafone) and this one looks exactly the same but with two differences: 1)it dosen't have a card slot, memory user availble only 3.2mb and 2) it has bluetooth (the right key near C is dedicated for bluetooth). My phone has the logo VODAFONE under the screen otherwise is like the model in the foto. The screen is smal but the resolution is decent, is a smal phone, nice looking(the silver frame from the foto along the screen is a nice shiney metal), fast respons in menu, decent battery, it has only one speaker(for hearing and for ringtone so it isn't loud), has a good slide(a stable slide), on left side has a double key for volume, in the right side has a coverd slot for charger, handsfree and USBcable, it has only WAP but for this price tag....the battery is good

I have purchased this phone last week and price is about Rs.3250. From my usage i found that phone is good looking and backup power. Only sometimes i feel that speaker is not good for listening. There is no spearate speaker for hearing. Don't have bluetooth or infra. but yes i has the memory slot and you can add up to 2GB.
Overall i can say that this is handy and good looking. Value for your money.
