Some weeks ago I tested the B5702's video player with settings similar to yours: I can confirm you that it works with bitrate 12 Kbit/s. To be more precise: I tested it with bitrate 12 Kbit/s, but frame rate 12 frame/s.

> In reply to Jubin @ 2009-11-21 09:11 from iKvmIf you want to change the principal sim in fact there isn't any other way to do it.. the mobile will reboot everytime.
But, if you actually want only to use the other sim (without selecting it as principal), then you just have to press the button on the right side of your device (just above of the camera shutter) when you are on the address book (to make a call) or when you are writing an sms. In these cases, each time you press the button you switch the selected sim (look at the icon on the top-left part of the display).

Hi all, this is not an opinion, but I hope that others will find this useful. For some people, like myself, the reason I have a dual sim phone is because I'm regularly commuting between two countries, which means I spend considerable time on planes and trains. Since this phone has a nice big screen and can take a micro-SD card, it would be a shame to waste it. So here are the MP4 video conversion settings I've managed to get it working with (using Super by eRightSoft):
Output Container: MP4
Video Codec: MP4
Audio: AMR-Narrow Band
Video Details:-
Video Scale Size: 320x240
Aspect Ratio: 4:3
Frame/Sec: 15
Bitrate: 64
Options: Select the following - High Quality, Top Quality, Stretch It(optional), 48K Audio
Audio Details:-
Sampling Frequency: 8000
Channels: 1
Bitrate: 10.2 (12.2 might also work, but I didn't test that)
It will also work with H263, but the video scale is limited to 176x144 (and tho' you can then push the FPS up to 30, it hardly seems worth it).
While I'm here, I have to say that this phone is fantastic, easy to use and has a great battery life. Personally, mine never crashes as others have mentioned, and it's feature rich...and now video rich too! So if you want to save yourself the expense of a separate personal media player (iTouch, Sony Walkman, Zen etc, then the above settings will put that nice big screen to good use and turn your phone into a personal media player too!
Hope someone finds this useful.

mine also reboots sometimes. And sometimes during a call. It just reboots without asking for the PIN! but one or other time it asks for the PIN.
The other day I was talking with my wife and the phone was rebooting after rebooting..
I hope a new firmware comes and corrects these issues.

Hello,
Do anybody use this phone with car kit Nokia CK-7W or with other car kit?
As I heard the previous Duos models have an issue with the voice quality via bluetooth on the 2nd SIM.
The voice was noisy/quiet, and you can hardly hear the voice of the other side in the car.
The 1st SIM was ok.
I would like to know whether this model have the same issue like the former ones?
Thx,
Csipu

For dual sim phones, I think China MTK ones are much better and cheaper than samsung. you can see them here to compare. http://www.dual-sim-mobile-phone.com/

> In reply to edwin @ 2009-07-13 05:09 from 2THIyes edwin, on ebay, the chinese have been selling quad band dual sims working at the same time for a while now. even before samsung has. and a while back i noticed a newer model that is touchscreen and boasts u completely separate sims in 1 phone. it means if ur using 1 sim and u get another call on sim 2, it will not go straight to voicemail but will ring or vibrate to let u know and u can switch between them.
as for the quality, ive had several from china. first one bought few years ago only had 1 sim slot working. second one worked great for 3-4 months. then i shut it off and it never came back on. still have it. third model boasts quad band but was worth poop. fourth one was small and skinny but again reception wasnt worth it.
in short, chinese have some great ideas but need to work on quality. but what do u expect when u see how cheap some of their phones r selling on ebay for.
just search on ebay "quad band dual sim" and u'll find a whole bunch. good luck

Ok, anyway.. Samsung does not make a specific flash data cable for each of its mobile phones.. Actually most of them use the same one.
In fact I suggest you to search in the descriptions of the cables if they work with samsung D880 (D880 is older and currently more common than B5702, hence it shall be simpler to find it in the descriptions)... if a samsung flash data cable works with D880 it should work also with B5702.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2009-10-27 13:05 from RstcAnyway I think you can find it quite easily even in other places on the internet.. try searching "samsung flash data cable" on google, ebay or whether you want.
Remark1: Recent samsung dual sim mobiles (at least since 880) share the same flash data cable.
Remark2: Even if samsung may change the accessories provided with B5702 in different countries, I think that it does not provide the flash data cable in any country (or at least not in the standard B5702 box). The cable provided by samsung in the standard B5702 box is a simple data cable, not enough for the purpose of changing the firmware...obviously you can check this by your own..
