> In reply to Anonymous @ 2009-12-30 03:21 from jZ@v - click to readBro , if u were ask 2 make a review , u suck big time .... U cant use OMNIA II's AMOLED screen to make your conclusion . Like all WM's hp , regardless of if its 16 million or 65k colour , AMOLED or TFT , only 65k colours will b effective . Dun ask me why , I dun know but have u seen HTC phone making 262k screens ? Even this unit u r posting on is 16million but only 65k colours r effective . If u wanna make a comparison , go look take a look at NOKIA N78 (TFT screen) and any AMOLED hp with 16 million colour , u can spot the difference .

To be frank , they are quite the same but alot of ppl feel its nicer than TFT but then , wat do they compare it with ? What makes AMOLED and TFT different is the voltage they use . AMOLED has lower power consumption than TFT , making it ideal for hps to have longer standby time . Also , AMOLED screens r thinner than TFT , directly making AMOLED equipt hp thinner . I got this info from a fren who manufacture screens for hp . Colour wise , just because they own a AMOLED screen hp and they will not admit its not as good as TFT ....

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2009-12-30 03:21 from jZ@v - click to readWell... I don't agree with your comments. I'm currently using samsung Jet, which also has AMOLED and I think it is the best screen ever. its richness in color and brightness. Its response time is quite fast compare to any other phone with similar spec. I have dropped my phone several times and still nothing is broken yet...and its picture qualities are really good too.

I checked today the performance of AMOLED at a Verizon store in California studying the new Omnia 2 which has 480x800 pixels, quite high resolution, recently released here. It is a disaster. All fuss and bells about AMOLED is due to the fact that most commenters didn't actually see one AMOLED screen with their eyes and just suppose it may be better being a newer technology. It is not better than any LCD-TFT classic screen. First it is much, much dimmer. Second and very, very annoying it is that you can see a distance between adjacent pixels, it looks like you see the screen image through a very fine web of wires. Third, it is slower, the screen has lower response than modern LCD-TFT screens. Forth, its life time is shorter than any LCD screen and more fragile at mechanical shocks. Don't rush to pay extra dollars for something you didn't examine with own eyes.

B7620 is better than (B7610) Omnia Pro in some thnogs like memory, keyboard, slide up system etc...
These improvements are going to exist in Omnia Pro 2! And this will make the difference!
The spefifications of B7620 into B7610's body would make THE BEST phone ever!

I understand that the phone is a nice user`s experience. But where is the Armani design twist? It looks just nice or better, but to be called Armani and justify the price I would expect much more. Samsung has again proved to be a lazy phone manufacturer. They also claim brilliant specs of new models but then simply cannot deliver flawless experience. And all of their designs are the same with some minor changes.
I stick with SE or Nokia N900.
