Does anyone know how to change the default message storage option from SIM to phone memory? The "memory status" shows that the phone can store 200 messages but it stores to the SIM by default (my SIM can only hold 20 messages).

i have had this phone for almost a year and it works fine for me.battery is good,i only recharge once a week.

Not a bad phone when you're willing to accept the not too fast interface and the lack of option to enable T9 by default (suggestions more than welcome!). Besides that it's a cheap and simple phone, but you can at least edit the 'down' button to bind any option, which can be very useful to make up the lack of a 'new text' option at the main menu of the phone.

I don't understand all the positive reviews of this phone. This is undoubtedly the worst phone I have ever used. It looks good as a fashion accessory but doesn't actually work as a phone.
1) User interface is unintuitive
2) button presses slow to react often resulting in wrong selections in menus.
3) text messages are slow to send - need to switch to predictive text each time you write a message, too many confirmation messages before sending.
4) reception is absolutely dreadful - useless in emergency situations
5) Phone sound quality is poor, even in areas of good reception (i.e. right next to a transmitter). Voices are very harsh sounding.
If you want a basic phone that actually works, forget about looks and get the Nokia 1200.

I am really dissapointed in purchasing this handset. this handset doesnot even have a group SMS facility. please don't put your money in getting this handset.

That'd be extremely battery-consuming!

i face a problem that..... whenever i try to download a file more than 1.5 KB from the wap browser, may it be a tone or a wallpaper, it shows an error "Bad Gateway"
Is it okay, or my phone has some problem??

I never thought Samsung mobile will be as slow as it..... My 1st mobile was Samsung X100.. that was really really nice.... So I became a fan of Samsung. But this mobile makes me dissatisfied

I faced a problem...... my phone's memory support failed. My saved numbers are being deleted automatically. Which sms r saved in phone those r not opening, letter not supported..... how ever we have not any samsung mobile service center in Bangladesh

The phone is very slow. It takes 3 seconds to unlock the keypad after it's pressed. Other than that it's good

Very nice design, very slim only 8.9 mm.
very comfortable in talking. i'd bought it only 50 dollars.
pros :
- top star design
- very slim but good 8.9 mm
- has standard feature : speakerphone, calender, calc, radio, gprs.
- Cheap
- comfortable in hand and talking
- nice sound including human voice and ringtone, and radios.
cons:
- display not clear enough

If you are a simple user of mobile. Or you use phone just to use; not to play then this is the best phone. Ya, talking time is less and needs improvement. but the look of the black one is great....
