Oh, just to be noted, I'm also part of the segment that does not want a camera,MP3,edge,bluetooth and other useless stuff on their phone.
However, a good adress book and a useful calendar I find are necessary.

This phone blows. I bought it to replace my aging Siemens M55 that's been acting qutie troublesome lately. While brand new, it is almost as slow as my old hpone, Phone book lacks horribly, the organiser just as good (as the sucky phone book), and I've just begun to scratch it's surface. I starting to hope I can return and exchange it tommorow :(

I Think that the memory idea is a good one perhaps 500 kb not 200? but with the screen being quite small already i don't think it would benefit from a size decrease. I also think the GPRS is quite important in a low end phone, if they're all the same price it needs to be able to compete with other models such as the moto W220.

to Marcus

i do not agree with you.

i agree to remove GPRS, java, put a smaller screen 128x128 or less and reduce internal memory to 200k.

it would be more cheap.

Who else agrees that with an fm radio included this phone would be one of the best Low-enders ever?

SNOOZE FUNCTION: if you set the "Wake up call" alarm, it gives you the option of "snoozing" when the alarm goes off. The other alarms don't give you the snooze function.

Hi all.
Anyone knows if the morning alarm sounds with the phone off? And if it has snooze function?

what i liked about samsung is that they're respecting they'r customers..and not including in the phone price a camera or edge.lan etc..for people that are not using it.i have a 10mpx camera .a laptop a pda..i just wanna a simple PHONE..i don't need anything else..just a good batery life.a decent display(65-260k colors are OK)..i'm just wondering how much does it weight..because i don't want a "bulky" phone..bye all

Hi, Samsung adopts good policy of marketing to have simple features in high class designs. Simple features...means... obviously cheap price... (like I have Samsung C130 quite cheap. Simple features with good design and phone book 1000 excellent. Only improvement in display and usb support for Sync.). Thxz..

Yes people, please! post your comments, your are trully market connaisseurs, I can tell, ha ha.
Cheap phones market is a very interesting niche for every company, all the producers have models for this "niche".
It`s a phone for companies employees, for example. Organizer&handsfree is enough for the common employer. Since it lacks that many features, the battery life must be very good.
So, it looks ok, it`s cheap, the battery is fine. Sounds good to me!
For the Record, I own a Nokia 6230i and a Sony Ericsson T630i-both very good choices at their time; my next buy will be an Alcatel E 801 (in time I realised I don`t use camera, I don`t need LAN, Edge, Wlan, GPRS, and othe techology crap).
I post this for all of you hat are so quickly to judge a phone (and any product for that matter!) disregarding it`s TRU PURPOSE.
