Samsung confirms the Galaxy S II will taste Ice Cream Sandwich

Samsung UK announced via its Twitter feed that the Galaxy S II will be updated to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It’s hardly a surprise since the Galaxy S II lineup is based on top-notch hardware and the latest Android Gingerbread.

@Ekz8 @moczilla Hi, good news - the Galaxy S II will be receiving ICS, but there are no dates confirmed as yet. We will keep you posted.Wed Nov 16 16:10:12 via web

Unfortunately, there is no information on release dates or any details on the other Galaxy S II members (besides I9100). Still, we guess all the Galaxy S II phones should be eventually upgraded to ICS.

Also, the information comes from Samsung UK, but we guess it should apply for all the countries the Galaxy S II is available in.
