This phone is horrible!! I've struggled with it since almost day one. It locks up constantly and will randomly turn off (which is really handy when it's my alarm clock!!!). Do not for any reason get it.

I don't think this would work in the Philippines. The PH uses GSM/UMTS and this phone has neither. It's in CDMA, so it doesn't use any SIM card

AWS, CDMA, and GSM are different type of radio frequencies that carriers/phones use.

CDMA equipped phones have a very quite different working type than GSM. GSM phones use sim cards to get signal and provide the communication while CDMA phones use no sim cards and are in contact with the network that supplies communication for immobile home phones. This kind of (CDMA) phones are like your settled home phone which you can carry whereever you go as far as I know.

> In reply to nath @ 2010-12-27 14:09 from t7Nb - click to readthink of it as a an upgraded, digital version of the old PHILTEL & EXTELCOM cell service of the 90's. doesn't use any sim cards like globe or all the rest of the mobile providers in the phils now. so NO, you can't use this phone in the philippines.

> In reply to ps @ 2010-12-08 01:08 from jJG$ - click to readJust because doing a screen shot in eclipse results in both images being captured doesn't REALLY prove it's just one physical screen though does it. I guess only a tear-down with resolve this.

> In reply to The Q Continuum @ 2010-11-26 09:49 from qLuc - click to readActually it is only one screen SFAN is right. To prove this, go into Eclipse with the Android SDk installed and take a screen shot of your phone, it will include the "top screen" the buttons and the "bottom screen" which means it is all one screen that is just divided by the buttons.
