Can this phone be used in Japan? it said somewhere that EDGE (which the fone has) has the minimum requierments for 3G, which is used in Japan. I'm still not sure though.

ergh, they got this phone for cingular here in the us, but im not sure if its available in the uk to the person who wants to know. i don't think this phone gave me the impression of when i first looked at this page.when i held it in my hand , it felt fragile to me. go try it, not an extrememly bad phone!

Guys! no wonder why there is 5mb memory and no cam.
Just checked Samsung SPH-B3100. With 1.6M screen,Transflash slot,2mp cam that's a multimedia player in the same design. No QWERTY keyboard though. Thats more like a N92. But well it's for Korea.

Its not meant for everyone ANI.
Then again it should have more memory and a camera wont hurt much. If I send email and text messages, I might like to send some pics as well.

Be advised that this phone's QWERTY keyboard has very limited functionality. You cannot use the keyboard to enter text if you are browsing the internet and you cannot even use it to enter a new contact into your phone book! Samsung has stated that they have no intention of fixing this with a firmware update. This is absolutely inexcusable. I have boycotted Samsung forever because they had the audacity to release such a crippled device.
