the d500 does play the mp3 ringtones clearly an i wud advise people to use the bluetooth instead of a data cable its fast an easy, to do this you can buy a usb adapter for your pc if it isnt already bluetooth enabled, you can purchase the usb adapters from maplin the electronics store or off ebay

yes sph s2300 may be coming soon but it just doesnt hav any va va voom, it has no style it is a poorly designed phone with very good features SUMMARY CRAP DESIGN SUM GOOD FEATURES i still prefer the d500 it is one styleish phone

yes it is coming but at a price of £823 sim free.plus the high capacity lithium polymer is extra as the one supplied only lasts 1hr 15 mins

sack this phone!!! the sph s2300 is comin to a carphone warehouse near u in jan 2005!!! 3mp camera, 3optical zoom, sd slot, 2hours+ video recording!!!

the d500 should be available all around the UK sim free in carphone warehouse for £320 (wer i got mine on saturday)or in the link for £450 (not sure why they want so much more than the carphone warehouse)oh an by the way this phone is one of the best i hav ever had my hands on an trust me i hav had some expensive phones

Anybody know price for this in Hong Kong? (I can get a phone from there this x-mas).
And also, does the new samsung phones have the profile system as Nokia, SE and LG have? (my old s300m does not...)

To anybody else who still questions if the Samsung D500 can transfer files using bluetooth and Infrared, I can tell you that they are both FULLY FUNCTIONAL!
