Throughout all of the phones I've owned, from Motorolas, Nokias, Sony Ericssons, LGs, and the iPhone, the D500 remains my favorite. The design is just sexy and it just was so fun to talk on. If only they could build on this design and release a phone similar to it but with modern features like 4gb+ flash memory, a 3.5mm headphones jack, and the like, I would get it in a heartbeat.

Stuff of legend by samsung... the specs and design were like innovation at the time when this came out... everybody wanted one and everybody once had one. This phone would remain in the history of mobile phone.

The best phone ever made. The newer once's look nicer. This one quality the #1 in phone's. Would be great if Samsung would take it back in production. I would order it again and again. Worked always, no problems even the 1.3 mp camera gave great pictures.

i bought this 3 years ago in UK from a friend and it's still going strong! it stopped charging when i came to NZ tho, as the phone's socket seems to have broken. however, i bought a universal charger an just remove battery to charge with that now. also the screen has fully cracked so i ripped it off..and it STILL works! hardcore. but 4 sum reason the bluetooth duznt work in new zealand?maybe coz its a uk phone? and does any1 knw where i can buy usb to transfer pics to comp?>plz

I work in a mobile phone shop, have done for nearly 6 years now and I`ve had and used my SAMSGHD500 for almost 3 years now and never had a days problem, I get a lot of stick from collegues about my ancient handset, but it works well, has a great battery STILL and does what I want it to do, I`m not going to change until it dies, but I have 2 spare batteries stashed away for future use to try and prolong the end, it`ll be a sad day when it does finally give up the ghost.

The D500, this used to be the phone of all phones back in the day 2005 when every had K700i's and 6230's this D500 just stood out in the crowd it did shock everyone with its features of the time to 1.3mp camera and 100mb built in and mp3 playback and those speakers that people used to attach to it its was just a hype and worth it, all the people that owned the D500 that i knew loved it it was a great phone even i would say.

> In reply to Themba @ 2008-07-12 07:43 from N92v - click to readHad a same problem with my D500 previously. You have to get someone who knows how to fix it. Must dismentle the phone and replace a tiny little film (dont know what it is ) beneath the keypad. Thereafter it will work fine.
