Legendary! After 3 years is still kicking strong. Not once has it shown the least stability issue. Battery has to be recharged every 3 days now, but that seems to be the standard for new cellphones. Screen is still as excellent as a TFT can be.
If you're tight on budget and can buy a used one of these, buy it. Consider the cost of changing the battery though, 3 years is a long time.

i have that phone for an year and a half.it's really good.the only problem is with the camera.i don't like the quality.

Have been a Nokia user. I have been using this phone for almost 2 years now (time for an upgrade, huh?). Some things about Samsung:
1] this phone is about 85-90% similar to Nokia phones on user friendliness
2] Nokia is better for SMS, hands down. Keys are not as good and slow to respond.
3] Battery is still holding up after all these years unlike Nokia (~1 year only, time to change).
The only gripe I have are the keys; quite small and spaced close together and now, have to press a bit harder and longer. Maybe due to wear and tear.
But the unit is impressively sturdy!

Steve: If you click on the contact that you want to switch to phone/sim whichever, there should be an option "copy to" from where you can either choose phone, or sim.
To the other person yes, you can put new ringtones on it.
I've had this phone for almost a year now, and its not bad, its just not really good. The screens dont fully go away when you change to another screen. Like, the screensaver (time, date and a lock picture) stay in the background of the phone screen at all times, so you can see them faintly when you're writing a message etc.
Also the camera is bad. It can not be 1.3mps.
I wouldn't buy it now after knowing what it's like.
Go sony ericcson.

overall very good fone, but i have started facing keypad problems. mostly while using the navigantional buttons. i have it for 8months.

Only downside is the poor camera quality. Nice and simple phone. Easy to use. In my opinion, the D500 is better than the D600

I have to say I was always a nokia person, but the more advanced they get the more they seem to freeze, this phone has been great. It's simple, reliable andthe battery lasts ages.
Like with just about all phones, the main thing is to not fill them up too much with stuff, otherwise they start slowing down and stuffing up.

my mum use this phone... I dunno how to describe.. Its like perfect... except for the internal storage..
The sound and the camera are great... Also equipped with the infrared and bluetooth... very nice.. hohoho..

excellent phone, excellent quality, had 2 of these babies for 2 years, had no faults. I even about a music adapter for this and the sound is GREAT!

i bought this phone 2 yrs ago. now the keyboard is starting to be less sensitive and laggy. sometimes i have to press the same button thrice before the letter appears. and sometimes freezes all of a sudden until i have to remove the battery and put it back again. geez, the phone ages.

The phone is good and can download software and apps. I've had it 2 years. camera is pretty good for a 1.3mp. I like it

this fone sucks man!!! lemme start n u ll know why... first of all theres no card support. then its camera is nothing compared to other cameras n the pics are so dull that even VGA pics are better looking... then u cannot install any softwares or games from outside... u cannot see vedios in full screen mode... wats more u also cannot view photos of large size... the ringtones r very low n also theres no vibrations along with it.. man i hv been using this fone for 2 years n if u take my advice its a complete NO NO...
