I'm thinking of buying this phone but I'm not a big fan of sliding mobiles. Is the slider good?

I’ve a simple question to u all. What’s the D600 ringing tone file format? Is it midi or mmf or can it support both?

Just Got my Samsung D600 today in Chrome. Looks a million dollars and has everything you would expect from a top of the range handset such as MP3 player which is excellent sound quality.

This phone is highly reccomended.

to Ali & Nadine
Install the PC Studio & USB Data Cable Driver from the provided CD.
After installation, connect the usb cable to the pc and then connect the phone.
A message stating found new hardware will come up along with a message asking you to search for drivers.
open the CD drive where the disk is and close it back again.
Click Next on the box to search for the appropriate driver.
You will receive a message stating driver installed.
You will then receive a message to install usb driver.
click on next.
click finish when prompted to.
drivers are now installed.
click on samsung pc studio
click on connection and then connect.
your phone should now be connected.
hope this helps

Okey.I coudnt find how to set GPRS off from the manual. This is another way around. This might work.
Go to Messages > Settings > Multimedia Message > MMS profile. Check the "Current Profile" and "profile setting". You have to creat a new MMS profile and keep everything blank in there and set that as your "Current profile". That way your phone will not find the GPRS netwrok and hopefully the G icon will disappear.
Cheers

Oh boy! Having that "G" icon is nothing to cry out so loud. If I have the phone I would have solved it by now. I dont know why no one else is helping you out. I will post on Monday. peace.

Sarah - you cannot change the message tones. You can only use the default ones supplied.

Unfortunately you cannot change the settings to stop the screen going completly black when not in use. However if you press and hold the volume bottom on the side of the phone it will give you time, missed calls etc

Ooops! I'm sorry..changing Multimedia reception to "Reject" will not help in getting rid of the "G" icon. I did the same on my D720 and it didnt work. Then came to know that I have to change the GPRS setting from "When Available" to "When Nedded".And that works. So go to phones connection settings and try it out.

I think I need to have another look at my friend's D600e.

I bought a Samsung D600 and overall, it is very nice phone exept for one feature that I really get frustrated with.
In the phonebook I store about 583 phones, and I want to copy them all the 583 phones in the Micro SD card and I have no optional. Please if ther is an option to copy all the phones into Micro SD card, send me by e-mail Thank you.

I love everything about this phone, apart....
When it is in sleep (off mode) it just goes black, no clock, nothing. It doesn't even show if you have a missed call or SMS or something. Is there any way I can change this as it really bothers me?
Thanks
