Reception is very bad for a such greate phone . Very disapointed in Samsung Customer Service and the phone. Very rude. Beter be staying with Motorola.
I just got the phone...and have a small question. How long should I charge the battery before initial use and there after?
I have had problems with my batter, it wouldnt last more then 6 hours.. I have tried everthing. Then I bought a micro sd memory card, and also that was a struggle.. I made a call to samsung, and they told me alot of people where having the same problems. And to fix it, I needed new softwere. So I had to bring it shop, and it will take about 1 week. I asked if they could send it to me, or purhaps a fix of some sort, but if you fix problems like that 4 yourselvs, the warenty end. Press *#1234# to see what softwere you have..
Re Pixel Viewer
I certainly knew how to use it (not I am in the past tense now and guess why?). Problem is when you're far from your desktop and get an e-mail (usually they come with attachments these days, have you noticed, cool ha?),I'd like to open and see straight away what that is; even before I have taken off the margins or set the fonst size to 60!!! I may be totally old-fashined, but imagine viewing any business document in 60!
Let's face it! It's a crappy, gaudy 'zen sakura' object for female-minded folk... Just you give a try to a quickwork for Symbian and you'll know what I mean... No need to convert anything to 60, 69 or whatever...
YES you can view videos full screen!!!
Only the pictures cannot be viwed full screen.
Press 1 while watching the videos to get full screen.
Is it True that Java applications can not be installed from bluetooth or Card ? Meaning that you must install the Java soft using only the network via WAP ?
Can someone help me?
I just got my samsung D600e but whenever someone calls me even though their details are saved on my phone it comes up with number unkown? Anyone know why this is and how to get round it? Thanks.
It is true, you cannot view pictures OR videos in full screen on the D600 but to be perfectly honest the screen is so colourful, vibrant and details that you do not need to. I bought mine several days ago and it is one of the best phones that i have ever had.The two megapixel camera is excellent, although not quite as good as the K750 as the D600 doesnt have autofocus but the video quality is the best ive ever seen on a mobile phone. And all this in such as small package is incredible. worth the money!!
For all of you who need some feature feedbacks on D600:
1. MP3 - Very good either with headphone or just internal speakers. Try to rip your favorite song with at least 128kbps or above. 256kbps is the best but you will suffer some memory constrain. If you think the volume is not loud enough increase it with computer software, SONY Sound Forge for example.
2. Video - Well this is the best feature you gonna love it! By pressing '1' the screen switch to landscape mode and it's 320x240 full screen! To get the best out of it, go and buy a converter and you can cut your favorite clip from DVD and upload them into your D600, Wow! even the sound is stereo,
experience it with headphone it's very close to surround sound effect. Way cool!
3. Pixcel View - Another great feature if you know how to use it. It supports many file formats including microsoft office and pdf. You need some modification before uploading your original file into your D600. For instant if you have eBook or story book say in .doc format, first convert the text to around 60 in font size and remove the margins to free some spaces. In this way you don't even need to zoom in or out. Also you would need to break them into chapter by chapter to improve the loading time. If you need bookmark just rename your file with accordance of the page that you have previously stop. Here are the navigation keys:
* = Full screen
6 = Next page
4 = Previous page
2 = First page
8 = Last page
For those who like story book in other foriegn languages beside English you still can view it, but need to convert them into .pdf format and you can now enjoy your reading.
Hope these will help.
Any comments are welcome.

It is no doubt it is best as a whole but the lack of Fm radio tells us that its a professional fone not a student's fone.Allah Hafiz
hi, i just purchased the D600..
and i'm having trouble w/ installing the USB drive..
i installed the CD first and installed the USB drive, and i connected it to the PC...
but it just make a three "ding, ding, ding" sound and doesnt connect to the PC...
can anyone help me how to connnect the phone to the PC?? PLEASE!!!!!!
A piece of mind to all would-be buyers: don't do it! As is the case with all other Samsung phones, screen is the best feature. All the rest is crap - to start with a very uncomfy keyboard (one needs to cut away half his fingers to be able to use it quickly); poor f;exibility of the 'joystick' button in the middle; grahics - too small, unadjustable, unlike D500, which on any of the above was far better.
Supposedly being a business phone, it has a surprising limitation (unavoidable manually) on e-mail attachment transfers; the much lauded pixel viewer is just plain caca - opens word documents in full-page view, zoom unreadily available, text - of course, unreadable.
Compared to the business and ergonomics features of an (well, a bit ugly) Nokia 6680, it the D600 falls way behind...
Well, ultimately it's small and useless. If you like this, get it.
Is it not possible to view pictures thru the TV on full screen? Videos played while connected to the TV go full screen, why can't pictures?
Steve, I've just had a good ol' seach thru mine and I'm 99.9% sure ya can't do it.
