hi got my phone yesterday. i have a few problems i hope you people can help me with. how do you transfer and how do you get mp3s on my phone? when the slider is shut how can i change the display to show a clock for a like standby screensaver rather than a black screen. hope you can help cheers
JR... enable your serial port (com5) and connect through bluetooth. Then you can download mp3 from your computer.
After using a D600 for 2 days (it cuts out for no reason; the slider is crap if you have big fingers (D500 all is forgiven)) and, the biggest sin of all, I have lost my cuckoo sound for messages!! It aint worth £400. Good job mine was a free upgrade but its going back to o2!!
I am attempting to transfer mp3's from my cpu to my phone using the samsung pc studio 3.0 software and usb cable that came with phone but after installing the program as well as the driver(s)it is not accepting the transfer (It reads operation not supported when attempting to save to "sounds" folder, it DOES transfer to the "other files" folder but then when attempting to play it reads unsupported file format). I thought this phone played the mp3 format. Do i need another software to succesfully transfer mp3's from my computer to my phone or ?. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
David: After you finish writing your message. Instead of option#1 send, go for option #2 save and send.
J: Wow.. Cant find that setting(plane mode). I guess they are assuming that one law will pass allowing phones on planes.
Bluetooth, im waiting for the sbh-100 by samsung. looks pretty cool.
I had a e715 i know wat you mean, but havent taken the D600 out for a plane ride yet.
Jane Warren: Are you sending the video by mms? or usb? 100 mb is kinda big, im guessing ur trying to say 100kb cause the phone only has 80mb. since the phone only records directly to the phone instead of a t-flash card
tomo: install the software and drivers thats included with the phone.
unknown: e715 is a failure? maybe.. but it fell of a 3 story building and lived another phone call.
samsung e715 is a failure.... avery body have the same problem
the calor faded.
Yes I have everything in the phone, not on the sim card. When I put group the as friends, family or office, instead of this I get them in error.
Every time I try to send a video the phone tells me its too big to send (only 100mb) Is there any way I can enlarge this file so that I can send videos longer than 5 seconds?
Has anyone taken this phone on the plane? I have an e715 and after taking it on the plane, the screen turns white and nothing is legible. After a few days, it slowly returns back to almost normal. Still can view horizontal white lines. But I travel often on business so my screen is almost always white. A few other e715 owners have the same problem.
Also, is there a "plane mode" where you can disable the signal, so you can use the mp3 player on the plane?
Has anyone used a bluetooth headset with this phone? Which brand of headset works best with this model? How about the Samsung bluetooth headset?
Thank you for your input.
I have this phone and personally think it is a peice of shit purely because of these reasons;
1) camera delay is stupid, click take picture and it will capture the picture after around 3 seconds usually giving u a blur unless you have a VERY steady hand and arnt taking moving pictures.
2) if you have a pc and connect it up via usb using the samsung pc studio that comes with it you cannot put .3gp files onto your phone as it comes up "not supported content" on your handset.
2megapixel camera and it cant even take a snappy picture, personally i wish i had got a nokia or something as i know how good they are. if anyone knows a way around these problems please feel free to let me know.
I was wondering if any1 knows how I can set my phone 2 save my sent text messages, tried everything to no availe, if you can't do this why the hell have they put a sent items and a outbox on the phone??
Sarah: I droped my E715 off a 3 story building and it survived. lol. Was so scared at the time, but atleast it lived to let me talk another day. Reason why it fell, poped out of my belt clip while i was moving stuff. When it fell it was like a slow motion movie. But for the D600, i protected my investment with importgsm.com's life-time guarantee where they will replace my unit for free as long as i can recover the unit and the imei number. So if i drop it, throw it in the water, etc i get a new one.. woot woot. goooo importgsm.com
Vincent: If you stored number on the phone you instead of on the simcard you should be able to group the numbers together and put the video caller id or its own unique ring tone for that group. Im assuming your trying to do this. Atleast thats how my D600 works.
ron: never noticed that.
unknown: "Getting a lemon" means you just got a bad unit out of all the manufactured units.
D.Po: I believe its two, but cant seem to find the red one. Even though I didnt try because i like the black one better.
Had the Samsung d600 for a week now. Its a great phone! - Down sides can't have it vibrating AND ringing at the same time, there is no autoslide feature, battery life is not gr8 but if you really want a decent battery life - u are better off buying most nokias! Your sent texts can be put into a folder as long as you choose the option wen u are sending it. It is a sexy phone - and after having the V3 for a year its a nice change. The menu is well layed out. Its pretty easy to get used to. Only thing there is no cover for it - so im craddling mine like a little baby - for fear of my dreaded clumsiness. Samsung are not renowned for their phones durability- u drop it and it will smash the screen!!! The SAR rating is at 0.5 which is not bad for a Samsung. The headphones quality are great - havent loaded many mp3 s yet but the ones that i have sound great and the user interface is pretty cool for mp3 player. I would give this phone 4/5! Great phone - but read somewhere that this phone will be outdated within months - which you may say could be true of all phones - but i know that there are some pretty cool nokias coming out in their N range. There is even a model out in spring that will have a 6 MP camera! So it depending on what your looking for. X
What do you mean, store it in the phone first, that is waht I did.
Any other sugestions.
