I thought D600 has autofocus becuz I saw an article about the lens company that makes D600's lens.. and it said that they're ready to produce the 2MP lens that has autofocus and are ready to be in the D600.
But in the review I don't see any autofocus :( I wish they have it..

It's NOT released ANYWHERE. Can we please stop with the "it's released in xxxx" bollocks.
Samsung do not launch a hot new model in the Philippines, Cyprus, nor Russia. Geeeeez!!!!

Well I'll pay the equivalent of $390 for mine.
Autofocus? It's a phone. Yes the photos only look about N90 quality, what a bugger. Still no match to my (very very old) Casio Exilim M2.

i am very dissapinted with d600 i wanted to buy it but i found out that it doesn't have autofocus of its camera like d500. I don't know why samsung always forgets/doens't want to put for marketing reasons... something.
pictures taken from a small distance are SUPER but the other ones are very blurry i am so sorry, what a waste of a good phone with 2mpx cam.

Of course, it has TWO speakerphone speakers, for stereo sound. Makes the MP3 and ringtones/alerts sound very cool, and is also one of the loudest phones around.
No it is not coming out in Cyprus on the 1st of July. And it is not $250!! Geez!!

Best guess would be 1 month after first release date, which would mean mid September, based on the D500 release cycle in your country. Unfortunately local Samsung offices don't seem to know anything with regards to release dates. They'll get a fax one morning telling them the phone is coming in 2 weeks or whatever, and know nothing up till then.
You could import it as soon as it's released, or maybe wait a few months to renew the contract? Just don't buy from any of those numerous scammers on the internet.
I'm keeping an eye on the local retailers because the release here should be very early in the cycle, and I'll post when I see it (presumably mid August). Keep in mind that the D500 was released in various countries between November last year to May!

Bob, can you give me your objective opinion when you really think the phone will release in western EU (Netherlands). I have noticed you keep up with the latest information and I want to decide if it is worth to wait for the D600. My contract ends one week from now and I'm dying to get a new one. Please give me a reliable and hounest estimation, I would really appreciate it.

Freedom would be using the phone everyday without it locking up, rejecting the sim, rebooting, dropping calls, or other weird crap. Nokias are good for that, and Sony Ericsson is trying to emulate them. Reading the feedback of people who have bought some of the latest phones really is interesting....
Glad Samsung is taking the time to make this a reliable product. We'll still have to wait and see if they stoop so low down to Nokia or Sony's level.

No, you'll end up buying a crap phone next month, then the D600 will be released a couple of weeks after that. You'll end up with old technology and the price of your "new" phone will halve almost immediately.
