I wouldnt put of the D500 just for the D600. Samsung phones can sometimes not come out. The D600 availabity is yet to be confirmed for the UK. The d500 has only just been released a little while ago so they want to see how this one does first. Just look at the E700, that phone done well and now theres a E720 and even E730 somewhere along the lines. Or look at the Samsung P730. That was planned but beacsue the P400 didnt do that well they scrapped the P730 for the UK. Thats when they bought out the E700.

In the specs it was stated as announced in Q1 2005.. but availability might be much longer...

In the specs it os stated that it will be launched the first quarter of this year. hmmm... too close to D500 launching. I Love this phone!!! good thing I haven't bought the D500 yet. This one is worth the wait, i suppose.

i think Samsungs strategy is to unveil a bunch of unfinished phones, then only make the ones that people like!
brilliant in a way.

Got the D500 a few months back. Was my very first venture out of the Nokia range of phones which I've had for yonks!! Great phone ... then along comes the D600! Looks great with fantastic specs. However, why no infrared?

i would really like to see samsung put dmb/satellite tv into some of their new phones as i think the samsung b100 looks like a brick. i would like to see a phone include this dmb, 1 megapixel camera or above, fm radio, tv output, tv recording, windows os (or the ability to have the choice to install any os), huge hdd, touch screen, qwerty keys on keypad, click wheel, similar form factor to the samsung sph-g1000 (slide up/game console) and with the new nvidia 3d graphics chip to play games as good as the sony psp and gizmondo. that would be my dream phone and i would give up all my handheld game consoles and phones just for this.

QVGA screen, cardslot, dual speaker and 2 mp camera! I just bought the Samsung D500 and I think I have to sell it and buy this one insteed! Is it coming out in august or something?

about to get a d500 and sign up to contract for 12 months anyone PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me wen this is due out in he uk ???? if its 6 months i will get d500 if its this summer liike, july ill wait :( any ideas, and wats the big diff between d500 and d600 ?

Waoh, The D600 is really a nice phone i think everybody will want to use. I just wish i cud have it cos i think i dont have enough money to get it. Heah i would'nt mind having it as a gift. Not funny ! Luv ya all.

Gee...I love my D500(first SS with Mp3+Bluetooth+1.3mpixels+260k camera)but now...!!!I donot know if I like it anymore(since SS D600 is coming out shortly...expected around 2nd Q/2005...and got my SE V802 coming).
D600's got the E630 looks with better screen solution+2Mpixels camera+dual speakers...!!!I think I'll stick with SE V802 coz it's different&SE doesn't bring out new model that often(likes SS does)and V802 does support 3G(sort of thing to come in the future).

I'm looking in to getting a D500 because my contract with Orange is due up in 2 weeks. The press release says that the D600 is the 2005 flagship model but when do they expect to release it? I should really wait for the D600 but if it isn't out until the end of the year I can upgrade to it next March.
