For the some of you who complain about the batery live, i think it would be a good ideea to format the batery 3 tims in a row in a week's time. The procedure is extreamly simple:
1. Drain the batery power until the phone turnes off.
2 Leave the phone turned off and charge it for 10-12 hours.
That is all. A simple and good method to revive your batery. I should metion that the phone has a lousy mp3 player(it lacks many options), and also it has a great "-" in the fact it dosn't have an instal manager for the .jar aplications. Except that, the phone is great.

I got this phone 2 months a go and it's great!!! I'm on the phone 24/7 and I needed a phone that can type messages fast and do everything in a flash coz I don't have patience. And the d600 was the perfect selection for me!!! I wouldn't trade it for anything

Can this phone take a 2 gig card? Is there any way to add more functions to the mp3 player(fast forward etc,). Is there any way to make the phone ring loud right away, mine is soft for the first to rings? Is there any way to make it louder? Any tips on making battery last longer? is there a update firmware for it?

Thanks

D600 is a nice looking phone, but there a several niggles:
1. Music player can only play 120 songs in four albums that you have to set up, what's that all about? It should just pick up all the mp3s on my memory card and play them.
2. WAP 2 / Web Browser generally sucks compared to similar browsers on Sony Ericson, Nokia, I'm unable to get Opera Mini to work.
3. Java Midlets should be treated as normal applications so shortcuts can be set to them.
4. Can install midlets via bluetooth or memory card.
5. Finally, the menu navigation often has too many confirmations, so is not slick at all.
Next time I will have a smartphone such as a Nokia N-Series because of the more flexible software.

well, it is certainly one of the best available phones on the market.. Even after half year of usage it still seems fine for me. Lately I've been considering changing it to D900; however the advantages of latter are not that impressive to pay the difference. Gonna stick with D600 for a while. What is your opinion in range of Samsung products? Is there something worth switching right know?

i purchased this phone 6months ago and there is quite a few things im very disappointed with for one you cant have vibration and melody (ringtones)working at the same time. The messages that are sent from your phone are not automatically saved.Plus you have to keep loading and swapping your mp3s around to the play list and to memory card. But besides that everything else seems fine.

most durable phone i've ever seen. I dropped it like 5 times already and one was dropped facing the ground from the bus while i was walking out. still working great though there are several scratches.
nice camera and the best part is the battery. i never have to recharge it till the 3rd day. great pick-up signal phone as well. so far the best phone that i've seen from samsung
