I have just recently purchased a Samsung D600, and it should arrive shortly. Had several questions I hoped an experienced user could answer.

1.What is the appropriate way to charge it? Do I use the initial charge on the phone until it runs out and then fully charge it. Or do I charge it right after getting it. I am just worried about ruining the battery.

2.Does anyone know how to set it up for the Cingular network?

3.Is there a 1gig memory card for it? If so any recommendations.

If there is any other useful info on the phone I would definitely appreciate the feedback

2 access the pics on the comp u put usb port into the computer download the software on the comp easy the only prob weith the phone is the screen scratches really easy be carefull

this D's is the best it rocks but the covers get crack easier so take care of it like its an egg

ummm...how do u connect a D600 2 computer??~~iv got the cable but the manual doesnt tell me wat do do!!!!!ggrrrrrr

It does say how in the manual if you look.

Go to phone settings>USB settings>mass storage>

Assuming you have the USB cable hooked up you will see your PC recognize it as another logical drive. i.e if you main drive is C:\, and your CD-Rom is D:\. then you will see E:\

Very simple. Grrrrrrrrrrr

Thank you very much for the advice. We did read the manual and even after your advice was followed the memory is still not visible from PC Suite.

Maybe if you analyzed the problem and not spent your time being sarcastic you would not have made a fool of yourself like I did according to you.

I said DON'T look for the memory in the PC Suite. Go to the USB settings and CHOOSE 'mass storage'......and THEN it will be a logical drive on your PC just like another other USB stick

I took KK's advice and bought a 512meg memory card. The card is not visible from the PC Suite on my computer. How do you manage data on it without removing the card and use a card reader? Anybody know? Because the suppliers does not know either?

Okay ...last time..........click on settings>phone settings>USB settings>choose MASS storage with your USB cable plugged in. You don't even need to be connected to the Samsung Suite. Your mem card will show up as a logical drive just like a USB stick.

Then copy files to it like any other drive.

Its sooo simple if you just READ THE MANUAL!!

been pondering on which to buy d500 or d600, want good mp3 ringtones loadsa memoey, great camera and good extra functions need bluetooth and wap, can anyone give info.

this ph. has real great looks and the sliding function is awsum,the only disadvantage is tht it does not hve any pre-loaded games,and for the battery life we can increase it to optimum by switching the ph. off and charge it for 12-14 hrs and then use it untill battery drains out and again charge it while its swicthed off for 12-14 hrs.,do this thrice and it wud improve the battery life. Cheers !!!!

It is such a good phone, the only problem lies on the battery that does not last for 3 days. otherwise it is an easy phone to use, i like it & now im tempted to D900, how is it? how long does the battery last on D900 if someone knows...please.

switch ur cell of when chargeing it the bat builds up a memorey o and the sonic wellness on the cell whats it for

I have this phone for 2 weeks and sold out to my friend at half price. coz it has some bugs.
a) No option to directly store photos or video to memory card, you have to first store to phone then copy to memory card.

b)If no memory card inserted, data stored in phone can not be read with computer as mass storage, its only read the card, not the phone.

c) When you copy pics from phone to card photo folder more than one time, its problem, its creat same file name and can not copy unless you rename each foto or creat a new folder

d) Camera starting takes few seconds to warm up, so you can not take fotos in case of sudden events. you have to wait for while, by then event might not available any more.

these are very serious bugs.
all other feature are prety good
