I just got this phone and honestly I am not loving it. the # button is very hard to press b/c of the design of the phone. Text messaging isn't as easy as it should be b/c of the keypad layout design. I suggest another phone.

Can someone tell me why the keypad on the Samsung D800 does not light up at night please. It is hard to see in the dark places, unlike other phones that the keypad always light up when in use.
Thanks

Hi all, I just received this phone couple days ago. It's light and has an attractive look. One problem is that I couldn't find the "Voice Command" option in the "Application" menu, although it's mentioned in the user menu. Does anyone have any thoughts? Thanks.

hey all! i bought this phone about two months ago and i think its one of the better phones out there. i traded my d500 for this and the functions are quite similiar. my friend bought the nokia 6270 which is like the 808 and the functions on her phone are not quite user-friendly. the only complaint i have with this phone is that the speaker phone sucks and the keypad is aweful for text messaging. all in all, i think samsung is doing a great job on improving their phones in such a competitive market.

Had this phone for 3 days after crunching my D500, and it's living up to my expectations. I agree that the keypad could be better, but the functions outperform those on the D500. The screen is excellent, especially the facility to have your videos play on full screen. On the performance so far, I'd recommend this phone !

the d600 has a much better screen and the d800 only a 1.3 mega pixle's so that means the d600 is a higher features so this can't be the upgrade then ? from the d600

dont get it you get less fone for your money. i tried the d800 on contract and it kept breaking so i got the samsung d600 and it can do far more things than that the d800 it has better battery life and is more reliable

now when these arrived in my store i was so happy as they along with the n91 are the most asked about phones. to have them in white i was so much more happier as you dont get many white phones. once out of the box my feelings changed i like the look but the buttons didnt feel right to hard and cold. the camera is good no where near as good as its younger sister the d600. Also y cant you expand the memory
