in my opiniojn great fone had it a bit now and amazin best fone ive ever had...looks great and expensive battery life is good and sound is loud and clear , camera is good except cant find the flash and i love the big clear screen i would recommend this fone 2 anyone wanting to buy it. x.

I had the D807...the overall design of the
phone is good, very stylish.
However, the overall performance is not that
great. Reception is poor, drop calls, don't receive calls sometimes. The ringer volume is good however, when you use a mp3 as a ringer it is not very loud. The only upside to the performance is the battery, I would get about 2.5 days of battery life. There are other Samsung slider phones that perform better than this model.

the d800 is usually good

I previously had the SGH-D807 model (part of the 800 series anyways), and I must say:
Pros
• Very stylish.
• Performance is above average.
• User-friendly.
Cons
• Screen is very fragile. Cracks very easily.
• Volume (overall, inc. speaker) is soft... too soft.
I loved my d807... until the screen cracked heavily. I dropped it on a concrete driveway and my baby was dead. If you are going to use the 800s, buy insurance!

Amazing phone,best ive personally ever had, the D500 i personaaly was to small. This how ever was the best phone. Accept the low battery life - which is present in all samsungs. This phone has beeen overhshadowed by the d900. i would still have it accept the dog ate it :\

i put mp3's on the phone but it wont allow me to set them as ringtones. does anyone know whats up?

The best thing about this phone is the display...crystal clear. Mp3 player is nice too...all in all, a great phone.

This is a underful phone, a good design.... to slider.... a great colour... black is a fantastique colour.... a classic colour... i like this... colour .... but i think... in my opnion.... he has a great phone to have a more memory to expandig a card slot..... i like very much this PHONE .... I HAVE ONE...

ive had mine for 6 month now it was ok until it started crashing wenever i tried to do anything on it!! also the camera iz onli 1.3 megapixel and it got no wer 2 pt a memory card! ne1 finkin bowt buyin it i recomend you by the d600 itz much better!!!

im about to get the phone but i cant make my mind up between this and a different one

this is s..t.if you want to buy a samsung you better buy d600.it have better specifications and also camera (2mp) and d600 have memory card and prizes are similar.

Great designed look... Absolute garbage when it comes to funtionality. 4 major flaws are:There is no Apostrophe key selection ('), yup... how do u txt msg's in shortform now. LCD stays on while charging, although there's a few tricks to keep it off, which you have to do constantly. The right soft key is hard coded to 'Contacts' (or 'Mall' if you have Rogers Wireless). The backgrounds when uploading your own, always contain a white border, unless you use a special program to crop and upload them, which you have to find on your own. All in all... 4 annoyances that make you wish you never bought the phone. Thankfully, I've been able to return mine.

it`s a grat phone and the price is good...even thought it has 1.3 camera it takes great pictures, like a 2.0 MP camera....and tthe quality and desighn are much better than samsung D600 ...the display in exceptional

bought this phone off a friend. it was hardly used. (he didnt like it and went back to nokia) it had only been out the packet 10 mins when i bought it but the key lights didnt work. otherwise, being a great phone, i decided to put up with it(im a yorkshireman so to tight to pay for repairs). also no flash, again, small prob. took it out my pocket to find screen cracked so looking at D900, or would still be using it. dont know if it was bought by my mate as damaged, but some minor faults in an otherwise good phone.
P.S, as mentioned by others, battery sh*t
