To Christina
Both phones should be the same, it is just that the firmware / software is slightly different, usually the language it support is different, but they should all support english. eg I know D808 is the version they are selling in asia and support chinese.
anyone correct me if i am wrong.

I was so tired to wait untill Cingular gets the nokia n80 (i live in US); finally got the d807. I should say I'm quiet happy with it. Thin, nice-looking, pretty smart, has a microSD card slot. Just wish it had a 2 megapixel camera with flash and higher resolution display.
I think that microSD slot is what makes this phone great, much better than the European version.
Anyways, everybody switch to Cingular=) !!!

Wow, just bought the Cingular USA version of this phone and I can't wait to go back to my t809(T-Mobile branded D820). The keypad is cheap, it seems like a rubber shield the dentist uses when you are getting a root canal. The slide is really tight too, had to use some force and the thing popped right out of my hand.

Samsung oftenly claim that their D series is for business people but the battery life is contradict to their claim. Considering the battery life..It's a kid phone for God's sake! I just wondering will samsung release their phone (especially the D series) at least 450 hours standby time and 8 hours for talk time... Hmmm neeehhhh i think it will be xenium series of philips (yup that real business phone)...

I have the D807 with Cingular. Ive had it for about 3 weeks now and I love the phone. Unlike many believe, you can do vibe and ring at the same time, you just have to go through the settings. Though the mp3 player is not very loud, its still nice to have. This version, unlike the D800, has the microSD slot, making the mp3 player actually useful. The slide mechanism is much smoother than the D820 (T809 on T-moblie) and looks much nicer as well. The camera does not swivel like it does on the D820 either, which I actually prefer...thats less thats gonna break on me in the future.
The oversees version of this phone is almost identical but for the no flash, external memory and the quad instead od tri band. I think it a great phone for the value as apposed to the Moto L7. It does have better sound, its just not worth the price tho...
