Can anyone help me, I want to set the new tone for the coming message (the default tone for coming message is boring) but I don't know how to do that. I can set the new ringcall tone for new calling but how about for new message? Thank you very much.

I Just bought this phone and I agree that it's a huge pain that it stays lit while charging! I wonder how long that'll allow the phone to last before the screen dies. Anyway, it CAN ring and vibrate, but only for phone calls (as far as i've found) it can only ring OR vibrate for texts. Overall, i completely dig this phone, despite the very bright nightlight it provides.

The Samsung D800 is an extremely slim sliding phone at just 14.9mm thick and follows on from the popular D500 and D600 but adds a new design, slimmer body and less weight making for a perfect pocket phone.

The integrated 1.3 megapixel camera will capture both photos and video clips which you can view on the large 240 x 320 pixel 265,000 colour TFT display.

The Samsung D800 also offers a multimedia player supporting WMA, AAC and MP3 file formats plus dual speakers for listening to your favourite music tracks.

The internal memory of 80mb should be enough for most people to store their photos, video and music files although if you prefer expandable memory then try the Samsung D820.

I got Cingular's d807 yesterday. It's not a bad phone, but there a few things I don't like. First of all, the large screen stays completely lit during charging. I don't know any other phone that does that. Also, I don't think it can ring and vibrate at the same time. Also, you can't personalize the rings to the individual incoming call. And the voice activation seems a little sketchy.
In all fairness, I've only had the phone a little more than a day - but I feel like there are a few annoying things about it, even though I like it overall. The call quality - reception and voice - seem to be top notch. I hope someone reviews this d807 soon - I'd be curious to see their take on it.

This phone is great. Expandable memory, 1.3mp camera, excellent reception. Working for Cingular, I got my hands on it early, and haven't let go of it since. Biggest perk though is the fact that there is no hinge that wears down after using the slide for a long time, it's a little arm that moves up and down and holds the top screen very firmly. Speaker could be louder, having mp3 function, but it's not bad at all.

Cingular-USA has an upgraded version D807 with quadband and microSD card slot. That's a better choice. Isn't it?
