I just got this phone today. And I can't get my microsd card to work. When I try to get into the image folder or something in the micro, it asks me to format, but fails to do so when I hit ok. Can someone help me?

D820 is very slow: only 4 kbs downloading/uploading speed. My other friends get much better speed using same network. Anyone can tell how can i activate EDGE for getting more speed. Or accelerate the speed.

SAMSUNG D820 REVIEW

Negatives:
1) Slider is weak and stiff, usually breaks every 4 months
2) Memory card does not read on first go. Have to reboot.
3) Camera is a disappointing 1.3MP, unlike D600’s 2MP
4) Very slow, small amount of RAM
5) JAVA Games section only can store 4096kb
6) Screen blanks out at times, very erratic. The screen may go black, white, or gray.
7) Battery Life is pathetic, you have to charge it once a day, or sometimes twice.
8) When using applications (JAVA) such as Mxit, or Opera Mini for half an hour or longer, and then quit it, the phone will reboot automatically.
9) You are only allowed to keep 15 Internet Bookmarks.
10) When typing in T9 Mode (Predictive Text), in an application, be sure not to exceed 150 characters, because if you exceed, it will totally wipe out all of text.
11) Mp3 Player: Sound Quality distorts when on maximum volume
12) Mp3 Player: You can only store 120 Songs on your play list.
13) Mp3 Player: In a noisy area, the volume is too soft, and distorts at soft volumes.
14) My slot where you put your charger etc. in, has broken, and fell off.
15) At times your “Cancel Call” Button (The Red one) stops working. It must have happened 6 times in my D820’s life. Sometimes when your phone goes off, you cant put it back on. One time couldn’t put my phone on for 5 days.
16) Camera takes very long to take a photo on high resolution (640x480 up) (3-4 Sec)
17) And when you’re filming a video, and press zoom, you can hear the button being pressed, when you record

Positives:
1) 2-Way Camera. You can turn the camera to face you or 180Degrees the other way.
2) Sleek design. Can’t go wrong if you want to show off with it.
3) It has 71MB (71262kb) onboard Memory, and still has place for another 1GB Memory card (2GB Slows it Down)
4) It has 320x240 display resolution.
5) TV Cable. Watch your phone on TV or a projector.
6) Enables you to view Office Documents and PDF Files
7) Files that you can view: jpeg, bmp, Word, PowerPoint, excel, pdf, mp3, aac, amr, mp4, 3gp, txt and png.
8) Good Quality sound, but not loud: Has 2 Speakers (3D Sound)
9) Records Sounds Very Well
10) Camera has lots of features such as: 30 Picture Frames, 9 Special FX (Emboss, Fog etc.), Mosaic Shot, Multi Shot (6/9/15 Shots at once), Max Resolution is 1280x1024, Night and Day mode, and a few more.

I Have got this pone for almost 2 years now…So I know the stuff

I had my D820 for about two years and I've never knew it had such alot of features. Two months ago I just fell inlove with my phone. I have one problem though, the speakers seem to be playing very soft. Is there a way to adjust the sound?

I've had very mixed experiences with this phone. I've had it for about a year and a half. These are some of the problems I've had with the phone.

1. Call quality is fairly poor. It really requires me to jam the upper right piece of the phone to hear the caller.

2. Vibrate then melody. You cannot have both go off at the same time.

3. Poor camera reaction time. Once you click to capture an image, it takes 2 or 3 seconds to capture the image. That being said, a majority of your pictures(especially of friends) will come out very blurry unless you specifically tell your friends not to move too soon.

4. Slider sticks. After a year's worth of use, the slider has gradually become stuck.

5. Phone suddenly dies. Similar to what other users have said, my phone dies at random times with little or no reason. I'm not sure why and I'm positive it's not related to battery life. It's often frustrating.

not as problematic as what n81_user said but my samsung d820 does black out suddenly at times recently. 2 of my friends using the same phone face the same problem too. I guess it's part of wear and tear. I've been using it for almost 2 years.

Do not believe everything N81_user said because I have the D820 for two years now and i did not bother to upgrade yet because i am already satisfied by its performance, the ring tone sound/mp3 is better than n70 or n80 using external speaker. There are no other faults on this phone. I am now using 1gig sd memory card and it works fine, faster than all nokias. ty
