(continued)...the slider keeps breaking every 4 months...the charger, and the place wher u charge it wil start to perish, coz of poor battery life, and charging every day...sometimes twice...a one gig mem card slows down phone...(2 b continued)

This phone is junk! It freezes alot..And i mean alot...The screen blanks out all of a sudden for no reason...Sound quality is worse than a monophonic ringtone!...camera quality only good at highest res.....(2 b continued)

im using dis fone for the last 2 yrs and i find dis fone relly sleek and slim..
there is nothing wrong wid the rails.. yo D820 rockss =)

kyle, don't buy this fone, its a piece of trash, my rails keep breaking and then ive got 2 pay like R400 to have them fixed. im going to throw away this piece of sh!t and but a fone that works

i think this is n really good phone, cause my cuz has it and every time she comes 2 my house or i come 2 her, i ALWAYS ask 4 the phone. it has a good camera and its very clear. im definetly goin 2 buy the samsung d820

to cap,
You can view your sim contacts only by pressing 1 then # on your keypad
You can copy all contacts from phone to sim or vice versa by going to MENU then PHONEBOOK then press (8)MANAGEMENT and press (2)COPY ALL TO, finally press (1)PHONE or (2) SIM, whatever suites you.

Hi Dandy,
Well I have never tried to access the SMS inbox while in call. But that is very essential feature ... Ppl do need to refer SMS for info while on call ... Next time I will try if D820 allows you to axs the SMS box during call.

Hi Cap you can do Phone SIM contact transfer in two ways. Using PC studio and using Phone itself.
1. Copy Contacts Phone SIM: PC Studio
1.1 Connect Phone to PC -> Open Samsung PC studio. You can do the contact transfer very easily.
How to do :Open PC studio->click "Manage contacts and More". Now you will get the Phone Editor window. Tree view like this:

|_SIM
You can click on ME(that is mobile) and your contacts will be loaded. locate any contact and right click it. From right click menu choose "Copy".
Next click on SIM(that is SIM card) and "Paste" in the contacts view. Zapp your contact is transfered(copied) to SIM. You can do the reverse also.
2. Copy Contacts Phone SIM: Using phone
2.1 Very easy here, Open "Contact", load the "Contact List", locate the contact, press "Options", Select "View", Select "Options", Select "Copy", Select from options "Phone", "SIM" or "SIM(FDN)" wherever you wish to copy your contact to.
Very easy ... Never underestimate the capability of your phone ... This Little monster can do more than what you may think of.

The phone is ok but how do you show only phone contacts ...or only sim contacts ....and how do you copy all yoys phone contacts to the sim or vice versa ....tried a lot ....dosent work

Hi, I have been using this D820 for more then a year now.And have become a fan of Samsung. I will show you How to get maximum squeeze out of this little monster?
1. Rip Music and transfer to phone
>> Use this free Music files editor. It is totally free of fees/spyware. You can rip/convert music from any format to any other format. For example CD->mp3, wma->mp3 and you could convert 128Kbps mp3 songs to 92 or lower bit rates to conserve space on phone. more so make your own ring tones, Better use the Samsung PC studio for that and then use this program for edting:

2. Rip Music Videos and transfer to phone
>> on similar lines of ripping music this software,above link, is good for changing the characteristics of the video. Suppose you have a music video in .dat/.avi format just use super converter to convert it into .3gp or .mp4 (D820 supports both) and you can resize the video also to 320x240 size.
3. Load Java Games
>> D820 you can put java games .jad and .jar files downloaded from free websites. How to do that is question:
