Before anyone comes saying that this is not the D820, the T809 is the U.S T-mobile name given to the D820 for use in the U.S market.
Its the same thing.

yeah... Samsung has 7mp camera phones. I know it for a fact. The thing is, it is only available in Korea, and Korea uses CDMA type phones, hence will not work on GSM network. Also, this phone is already available in Korea aswell, but also in CDMA only...
(Samsung has way~ more models than you see on this website. But this is GSM site. Korea uses CDMA, n i asure you that you can get some pretty Fancy CDMA Phones in Korea, way ahead of the rest of the world)

The D820 is better-looking than the D800 in the same way that Camilla Paker Bowles is better looking than Kate Moss. Come on mate, this is not a subjective thing.

Y is this D820 uglier than the D800?
I personally think it looks better...
If you are talking about the camara area... its rotatable so that it can be hidden at the back...
Not High-tech? Did u know its also a plug and play thumb drive?
Research before you guys post man... its embarassing...

haha.. you own samsung 7 megapixel cameraphone? don't make me laugh.. i know that you are lying.. NOKIA freak like you will never buy samsung.. stop making fuss in samsung's forum.. you already making SE fans sick of your stupid comment and often sounds like kids crying over their toy. I bet you havent even been to korea..
just as information.. samsung's WORLD'S FIRST 7 MEGAPIXEL CAMERA PHONE features most of the current digital camera function, including AUTOFOCUS and OPTICAL ZOOM. It is nowhere comparable to ur pathetic nokia digital camera that already proud with their 2 MP and oh yea.. they got autofocus and cheapy carl zeiss lens (can't even win against K750 and D600.. carl zeiss lens eh? wat a market gimmick and you are eaten by them)
btw.. talking about advancement in technology.. samsung is taking the lead now, followed by japan (sony ericsson) then nokia in the last position.

No name: I agree completely. The D800 is way better looking than this one, and with a mem-slot and 2mp cam, it would be my next phone. It's still looking like the Nokia 6280... that's under the assumption that they aren't going bankrupt too.

Are you actually aware that samsung MAKE memory... that they produce for Apple, produce alot of the world memorys chips for companys such as NVIDIA/ATI and their sub contractors.
They also produce RAMBUS, LCD panels, Optoelectronics, Fridges/Freezers/Microwaves.
With a steady korean market and an increasingly popular european market... I fail to see their bankrupcy...

its cause samsung havnt got the money for memory card slots, why do u think most of their phones have no external memory, samsung is going out of business and will be bankrupt probably march next year

samsung making great phones over years.
when samsung exporting device to US they
down grades mega pixel of its camera.
If you go to Korea you will see people caring samsung 7.0 mega pixel phone in their hands.

samsung is not behind in terms of features, in fact samsung is way advance than other manufacturer in terms in features and design.
However, samsung will only launch thier advance,full rich featured phones to mature and advance markets like europe,korea, japan and north america. It sad to say that many cannot have samsung advance phones because they are of premium quality with premium price, but always craved for.
