I have this phone and i'm using it and the pro is that this phone has a very large scrren. 2.2 inc witch I like the most
and also external card and so on..
con is that it is actually hard to press the button since it's embedded into the phone
, the opening the program takes some time ,and the sound is not so loud.

deciding between d830, d840, and z370...
is it true that you cant set your own photos as wallpaper with the d840?? sad.
can anyone give me pros and cons between these three models? thanks a lot!
wudve wanted the v3xx but everybody seems to have razrs already. hoping to join the samsung family. goodbye nokia and sony ericsson! =p

hey guys i have plans on buying this phone too. i'd like to confirm few things ..
1) how's the speaker quality when you recieve calls? like mp3 song as a ringtone.
2) how's the battery life? can it survive 1 day with talk of 3-4 hours (not continuous).

i have this phone samsung D830 and my problem is how to use the second speaker that is besid the microphone .... i cant listen my my music loud .... would u tell me what can i do to solve this one plz ??

@sambo:symbian applications work only on symbian, otherwise they wouldn't be SYMBIAN applications.
@sos:download Cool Edit Pro 2.0 and amplify the music.
@ashraf:Why the hell do you need a screensaver if it's a clamshell cellphone, for god sakes....
yes, the only problem is that it has no flash, so you cannot take pictures in the dark, but if there's daylight the pictures are perfect.

@d830 owner - i bought the cell phone in december, so it was a lot on a temperature near 0 degrees celsius- it NEVER turned off from itself.

hi,
it's thin and small mobile. but, i think it has lot of disabilities.such,t's mp3 sound quality is worst than nokia 1110.it also don't have nice wallpaper and no sceensaver. camera is ok.
samsung should provide a flash ligh for camera as well as signal light.
for these reason i critisize samsung company for their misery.they want's to make money by giving people a small advantages.
Nokia is the best.

I love this handset since the day i got it. I do however have a few problems with it.
I can't fast forward a movie in any bigger increments. This means if I have converted a movie to fit on the phone thats 2 hours long. If I stop it i have to hold my finger down for a very long time just to see the end.
Also no vibration + Ringtone at the same time. A little anoying but I can live with it.
I am also looking for a firmware update that might fix these issues

The D830 like most samsungs wont install any java applications via USB file transfer or Bluetooth (this phone just does not have the installer). You can only install via Wap page....
You can either setup a wap page on your own site or server if you have one or find a java sending service. (http://comunity24.com/ota.php i think)

Had the D830 delivered on tuesday 24th .. and its gone back already !!! Its rubbish .. its close to a brick in size and has no buttons .. so texting ( with 2 hands ) is a nightmare. When replying to a text you have to KEEP asking for predictive text as the phone WILL NOT default to it. There are 2 games in the memory THATS IT !!!! If you've small hands this is not the phone for you .. DON'T DO IT !!!!!

whn u open the flip, it will look as if u are using a landline phone.gets to freakin big whn u open it up... seconldly the key pad suks big time..
besides the complains, its reli kul especially the display ..

KomashootaSeth the phone can not take photos while it is closed because the externat display is to small and displays only missed calls battery life signal and clock! For the mp3 part YES it can! It can play mp3 while closed!

As I know, it's a very nice phone. I've got two questions to ask. Please answer me D830 owners.
1- Motorola V3 can take photos while the flip is closed. Can this phone do this too?
2- Can it still playback MP3 files while the flip is closed? and is the quality of headphones good?
