This phone is very good and I use this for 3 years.
If want to say a problem for that,I can say that d880 is very lazy in software

i have been using samsung fons thru the years and samsung d880 is one of the very user friendly fon i had, plus it has long battery life. And of course its a dual active fon so i can receive txt/call from two different networks

Is the body/panel of the phone changeable.. are panels and keypads available..

This is the worst phone, I have ever used. It is plagued with problems. I bought this phone last May, by August the Keypad had stuck,got it repaired, then by December, the same thing happened again. Got it fixed again, by March it was down again all with the same problem.

Samsung refused to change the phone, just upgrading it all time. There only did this so the warranty would run out and guess what the warrranty has run out and guess what? The phone has broken down once again.

I bought this phone whilst I was on holiday in the UK last year. So not only did it cost me 150pounds to buy, but it has cost me more money and time sending it back to the UK to get it repair each time!

I would never ever recommend this phone for anyone to buy neither would I ever buy Samsung again. I will stick to my NOKIA.

I've had my D880 for almost 2 years now and I can say that it has more than lived up to my expectations. I just bought a b5722 touchphone when my D880's flexi finally broke. After 2 months, I decided to have the flexi replaced and reverted back to my good ole' reliable D880. If you're not much into fancy phones and want a reliable dual sim phone. I would highly recommend this phone. Trick is to minimize the use of the slider to extend the usage life of the flexi e.g. no need to slide open the phone when reading messages or answering the phone. Overall a good, solid phone.

have had fone 6months n all goodas a basic phone. only problem being how to put new games on. all the games i used on previous phones dont work and i cant find a site that the downloads work on this phone.

does any1 know a site or a format that works?
also most of my photos say wrong format. what do i need to change them to?

any help greatly appreciated. apart from these 2 probs a good phone

Unable to operate both GSMs at a single go. Only one SIM is operational for making calls. Is there any way out that both SIMs are operational for outgoing calls - i.e, Users choice from which SIM to call ?

dear friends , samsung d880 got more problems , java games less memory,sliding problem, does not support any software, no themes, its dull phone. dont by again

Have used SAMSUNG SGH D-780 till date, was truly magnificent n music was brilliant[better than or comparable to an ipod].

m not at all a fancy phone user, but dual sims, good screen display, keypad, msg capacity , MUSIC is my top n expected priorities..

do u guys think this will stand to expectation..??

I've had this phone for over a year now and generally it s good, my only problem is that i've never been able to watch any video...just says content unsupported. any help?
